Microsoft Windows 10 Mobile to get fingerprint support this summer
Windows 10 operating system supports fingerprint unlock feature using Windows Hello in addition to face and iris unlock. Microsoft has confirmed at the WinHEC conference earlier this week that it plans to support fingerprint scanners for Windows 10 Mobile as well later this year. Microsoft is rumored to be working on the Surface Book 2, successor of last year’s Surface Book, it’s first laptop. Microsoft Word Flow Keyboard for iPhone with Arc one-handed typing mode released
Microsoft has released its Word Flow Keyboard for iPhone users as a part of its Garage project, as it had promised earlier this year, after the closed beta. Microsoft Surface revenue up 61%, Lumia revenue declined 73% YoY in Q3 FY 2016
Microsoft has announced earnings for the financial year Q3 2016, in which it reported $20.5 billion in revenue and $3.8 billion in net income. Surface revenues are up again, which is $1.1 billion for the quarter, up 61% from the same quarter last year. Phone revenue continues to decline, which is down 46% YoY. Microsoft sold only 2.3 million Lumia devices in the quarter, compared to 8.6 million in the same period last year, a massive 73% drop.
