Meizu made the official announcement of the m2 note on 2nd June in China. Physically the device does remain largely similar, being a refinement of its predecessor, the m1 note. We’ve gotten our hands on the device and prepared an unboxing for you.
Meizu has announced m2 note, successor of last year’s m1 note smartphone without a major change in the design and specifications. It has the same 5.5-inch 1080p IGZO display, is powered by a 1.3GHz 64-bit Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor with eight Cortex-A53 64-bit CPUs with Mali-T720 GPU and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Flyme OS on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 69-degree wide viewing angle.

Chinese manufacture Meizu is hosting an event in China tomorrow, where the company has now confirmed to launch the successor m2 note by posting an image on Twitter. Meizu has launched m1 note in India. The company recently announced that the smartphone will be available in India from May 20th on Amazon. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p display from Sharp/AUO with 76% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by a 1.7GHz 64-bit Octa-Core MediaTek MT6752 processor with eight Cortex-A53 64-bit CPUs with Mali-T760 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Flyme OS 4 on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with Samsung sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 69-degree wide viewing angle.
Earlier today we had brought to you Meizu’s plans of launching the M1 Note in India on May 20th. Later we also told you about the event they will be hosting on June 2nd and thatthey might announce the M2 Note there. Well, now the very same device has just been leaked in a photo.
Meizu has sent out invitations for the launch of a new product in China on June 2nd. The launch even takes place at the China National Convention Center on June 2nd at 2:30 PM (12:00 PM IST). Even though the invite doesn’t reveal any details about its upcoming smartphone, the company has hinted on the community site that it might announce a new phone in the Blue Charm series.

After curved screens, looks like bezel-less is the new display trend as now even Meizu appears to want to jump onto the bandwagon. The renders for the upcoming Meizu flagship, the MX-5 shows a device with bezel-less screen.
As we reported earlier, Meizu is set to enter the Indian smartphone market soon. Although an exact date is not known yet, we will be sure to let you know as soon as we hear any info.
