Meizu made the official announcement of the m2 note on 2nd June in China. Physically the device does remain largely similar, being a refinement of its predecessor, the m1 note. We’ve gotten our hands on the device and prepared an unboxing for you.

The contents of the m2 note box are as follows:

  • Meizu m2 note
  • SIM Ejector Pin
  • Documentation
  • microUSB Cable
  • Wall Charger

The box that we got did not have earphones within it but merely a piece of foam that said “earphone not included”. We aren’t sure if this means that the company isn’t planning to ship earphones in the retail package or whether we simply don’t get an earphone with our review unit. Either way, we will be in touch with the Meizu team to let you know what exactly the case is.

The Meizu m2 note is powered by a Mediatek MT6753 Octa-core processor that is clocked at 1.3GHz and 2GB of RAM. The device runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box along with Meizu’s FlyMe OS UI layer on top of it.

The device is currently selling in China at a price of Yuan 799 for the 16GB version and Yuan 999 for the 32GB version. Currently there is no information about the release date for India or it’s pricing here but we will keep you updated on any information that we receive.
