After the X4 (2019) model that was introduced in Korea back in April, the company has introduced X2 (2019) smartphone in its home ground. It packs a 5.45-inch HD+ FullVision 18:9 aspect ratio screen, is powered by Snapdragon 425 SoC with 2GB of RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie), features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 5-megapixel front camera with portrait mode and screen flash.

LG Electronics has reported revenues of 15.63 trillion won (US$ 13.40 billion) for the second quarter that ended June 30, 2019, which is down 15.4% compared to the same quarter last year. It posted profits of 652.3 billion won (US$ 559.4 million), down 15.4% YoY, while net profit was down 67.5% YoY to 106 billion won. After rolling out Alexa support to its 2019 AI ThinQ TV lineup back in May, LG has announced that it will add Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support to 2019 LG OLED TVs, NanoCell TVs and UHD TVs with ThinQ AI capability via an update starting July 25. LG today launched range of AI ThinQ TVs. All these support AI assistant and some models are powered by second generation α (Alpha) 9 Gen 2 intelligent processor and deep learning technology offering improved AI-enabled picture, sound and brightness. These come in screen sizes of 32-inch to 77-inch and support Dolby Vision, HDR10 Pro, HLG Pro HDR and Dolby Atmos. These were introduced at CES 2019 earlier this year and the global roll out began in March.
Korean giants Samsung and LG reported earnings guidance for the second quarter of 2019. Both the companies have reported drop in profits for the quarter.

LG just launched W10 and W30 smartphones and introduced W30 Pro in the new ‘W series’ at an event in India, as it had promised. All these have HD+ screens with a notch, run Android 9.0 (Pie), feature rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and pack a 4000mAh battery. Update: June 21 — LG has sent out invites for the launch of the phone on June 26th on Amazon.in. The company recently confirmed 2GHz Octa-Core 12nm SoC, which should be Helio P22. Google Play Developer console confirmed 6.2-inch HD+ (720 x 1500 pixels) display, Android Pie and 3GB of RAM and the name of the phone as W10. However, Amazon has confirmed that it will launch LG W30 smartphone. LG has announced its new UltraGear gaming monitor which is the world’s first 1 millisecond IPS display. The gaming monitor comes in two screen sizes i.e., 27-inch and 38-inch and is NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible, supports HDR 10 and more.
LG has introduced X6, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘X series’ in Korea. It is a version of Q60 that was introduced at the MWC earlier this year. It packs a 6.26-inch 19:9 HD+ FullVision waterdrop notch display, features triple rear cameras that includes 16MP primary camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), 5MP 120-degree Super Wide Angle camera and a 2MP camera for depth sensing in portrait shots. The phone also has a 13MP front camera.
In a recent development, LG Electronics announced the start of sales of the world’s first 8K OLED TV (model 88Z9) with pre-orders for the 88-inch set starting this week in South Korea.
