Huawei has finally released the beta version of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the Honor 7 users in India. This update is available for only those who register for the OTA (over the air) using the Google Drive forum here with their current software version and IMEI. The company says that it will verify the information and will start pushing the OTA update for the users after 24 to 48 hours of submission. Google launched the Huawei-made Nexus 6P smartphone in India back in October. We have already seen the unboxing and benchmarks of the smartphone, here we have the battery life test results. The Nexus 6P has a 3450mAh built-in battery, comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support and also comes bundled with a fast charger. Huawei recently partnered with Snapdeal to expand it’s online presence, today the company has announced its partnership with Zopper, India’s first hyper local marketplace to launch its smartphones offline. Huawei smartphones will now be available across 267 outlets in Delhi NCR (Gurgaon, Faridabad), Chennai, Vellore, Pondicherry and Bangalore. Huawei introduced the Honor 7 smartphone in China back in July and launched it in India in October. Today at the honor event the company introduced an enhanced version of the smartphone that has a smart key to give quick shortcuts. You can give voice commands to facilitate navigation, go running and more. It can only remind you if you have friends within your vicinity. Huawei has partnered with Baidu and will bring Siri-like features. Smart key will bring that up in the future. At the honor event in Shenzhen, China, Huawei announced that it is will release its HiLink SDK in Q2 2016. The HiLink protocol will unify your smart home IOT devices using a unified language. It works via Zigbee, WiFi and Bluetooth. Huawei Honor president George Zhao said that the company will also release Huawei Lite OS with very light kernel and ultra fast startup time of 700ms in Q2 2016. It has a 5-inch HD display, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Emotion UI 3.1 Lite, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the Enjoy 5, but this is powered by a faster 1.5 octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753T processor, has 7.6mm slim full metal unibody design and also comes with a fingerprint sensor. It packs a 6-inch 1080p display with 2.7mm ultra narrow frame, 83% screen-to-body ratio and 2.5D glass, is powered by a Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 950 SoC with IntelliSense i5 sensor hub and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Emotion UI 4.0 on top. It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, dual-tone LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), optical image stabilization (OIS) and uses Huawei’s own ISP.
