HUAWEI at its event in China introduced the Smart Screen X65, the company’s latest flagship Smart Screen device with a pop-up camera, as it had promised. It packs a 65-inch 4K HDR OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, MEMC, support for DC dimming and the screen has TUV Rheinland certification. HUAWEI’s P series flagship smartphones have always performed well in the camera department and its newest P40 Pro smartphone is no slouch either. As of today, it holds the highest score in DxO Mark’s camera benchmarks for both the rear and front camera, with 128 and 103 respectively.

HUAWEI’s HONOR brand at the HONOR 30S launch event introduced Kirin 820 SoC, successor of last year’s Kirin 810. It uses 7nm processor technology, similar to the predecessor. This has one ARM Cortex-A76 prime core clocked at 2.36GHz, three ARM Cortex-A76 larger core clocked at 2.22GHz and the other four smaller ARM Cortex-A55 cores are clocked at 1.84GHz, which promises 27% CPU performance improvement compared to the predecessor and the new ARM Mali-G57 MP6 GPU, which has a 38% gaming performance improvement over the previous generation and supports Kirin Gaming+ 2.0 technology. HUAWEI today announced that it will introduce new flagship Smart Screen, the company’s flagship smart TV with a pop-up camera in China on April 8th. The teaser shows the TV with a larger pop-up camera and narrow upper bezel compared to previous generation, but doesn’t give any other hints. It will likely feature a 4K HDR QLED screen similar to the first two models that were introduced recently. HUAWEI today announced its flagship P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ smartphones in an online event as it had promised. The P40 has a 6.1-inch FHD+ Flex OLED screen with 3.48mm, 4.47mm and 3mm ultra narrow borders on the top, bottom and sides, respectively. The P40 Pro and Pro+ feature 6.58-inch FHD+ Flex OLED Quad-curve Overflow Display with 2.65mm, 3.35mm and 1.71mm ultra narrow borders on the top, bottom and sides, respectively. These are powered by Kirin 990 and Kirin 990 5G 7nm SoCs with dedicated NPUs and run Android 10 with EMUI 10.0 on top with HMS. These have in-display fingerprint scanner that are 30% faster compared to the predecessor. HUAWEI today announced VIP Customer Services for the newly its HUAWEI Watch GT 2 and its predecessor HUAWEI Watch GT in India. It has also introduced no cost replacement policy for HUAWEI Watch GT 2 and GT during the warranty period. In case a HUAWEI smart watch shows manufacturing defects or performance related issues, HUAWEI will replace the watch if it is in the warranty period and as per its warranty policy. Details about the upcoming Kirin 820 SoC from HUAWEI has surfaced on AnTuTu. According to the listing, HONOR 30S with the model number CDY-AN90 runs Android 10 and the phone has 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) screen. The Kirin 820 is an Octa-Core SoC with four bigger Cortex-A76 cores and four smaller Cortex-A55, with a maximum clock speed of 2.36GHz and has Mali-G57 GPU, but the clock speed and the number of cores for the GPU is unknown. HUAWEI already confirmed the global unveiling of the P40 series smartphones on March 26th. Now the company has posted a teaser for the HUAWEI Watch GT 2e, a cheaper version of last year’s HUAWEI Watch GT 2 and said that it will be introduced along with the phone.
