
HUAWEI has confirmed the launch of HUAWEI Mate 80 series smartphones in China on November 25th as the successor to last year’s Mate 70 series. This will include Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max (replacing the Pro+ naming) and Mate 80 RS ULTIMATE DESIGN.

All the phones will feature a circular rear camera module, flat OLED screen, metal frame, 3D face recognition, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

As you can see from the image, the Mate 80, and the Mate 80 Pro feature triple rear cameras including a periscope telephoto lens and will come in Obsidian Black, Snowy White, Dawn Gold and Spruce Green colours.
The Mate 80 will come in 12GB + 256GB, 12GB+512GB and 16GB+512GB versions and the Pro model will also come in 16GB + 1TB model. These are expected to support 66W wired charging.

The HUAWEI Mate 80 Max will come in Polar Night Black, Polar Silver, Polar day gold, and Aurora Blue colours in 16GB+512GB and 16GB + 1TB models.

The Mate 80 RS ULTIMATE DESIGN will come in Dark black, Pure white and Hibiscus colours in 20GB+512GB and 20GB+ 1TB models. The Pro Max and Mate 80 RS have a quad-camera setup with dual periscope telephoto lenses and should come with 100W wired charging.
The company will also introduce the Mate X7 foldable phone as the successor to last year’s Mate X6. Based on reports, the phone will come in Obsidian Black, Phantom Purple, Cosmic Red, Cloud Blue, and Cloud White, feature a 7.95″ ±2K COE LTPO+UTG sensor, Kirin 9030 processor, enhanced imaging, and a thinner, more versatile foldable screen.
