Google officially announces event on October 4, Pixel and Pixel XL expected

Google has finally sent out invites the launch of its next-generation smartphones in the Nexus lineup that are expected to be called Pixel and Pixel XL, as rumored earlier. It has also setup a madeby.google.com  website that shows October 5th as date for India. This hints that it might be announced in some counties the next day, but it is not clear if there will be a separate event in these countries. Google launches Cardboard Camera app for iOS to create 360-degree VR photos

Google has finally launched its Cardboard Camera app for iOS devices. This lets you capture 360-degree virtual reality photos that can be viewed on the phone using Google Cardboard or other VR headsets. Google and FASTER, a consortium of six international companies recently announced that world’s fastest fiber optic undersea cable, which connects the United States and Japan was complete and will offer access to up to 10Tbps (Terabits per second) of the cable’s total 60Tbps bandwidth.
