Viber beta for BlackBerry brings voice calling finally

Viber has launched a new beta version for the BlackBerry OS 5 and OS 7 devices that brigs VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) calling support over WiFi and 3G, as they promised. The Viber for Android had voice calling feature since the launch back in May 2011. Voice calling feature for the Viber app for BlackBerry and Windows phone has been the most expected feature since the first beta release back in May 2012. Viber for Windows Phone 8 got voice calling with HD voice and lots more new features in the latest update earlier this month. BlackBerry 10 R-Series QWERTY phone image surface

New image of the R-Series QWERTY budget BlackBerry 10 phone has surfaced online. The keyboard looks similar to the one on the Facebook Phone HTC ChaCha. We have already seen the BlackBerry L-Series phone, the BlackBerry Z10 and the N-Series phone, the BlackBerry Q10. It is code-named Rainier and is expected to be released in the R-Series later this year. R-Series might be a separate category for budget BlackBerry 10 phones. BlackBerry to shut down BBM Music in June

BlackBerry has started sending emails for BBM Music subscribers that BBM Music would be discontinued as of June 2, 2013. BBM Music is BlackBerry’s own cloud-based music service in partnership with several music giants Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and EMI. BlackBerry Music was anounced back in August 2011, and it was launched it widely in the US, Canada, and Australia later in November 2011 after several closed beta trials. BlackBerry Z10 had launched in India with a hefty price tag, and BlackBerry knows that people who buy expensive phones will need complimenting accessories too, and hence came a bunch of audio accessories in India, along with the Z10. We had taken a look at the Mini Stereo Speaker, which was a compact clip-like Bluetooth stereo speaker with auxiliary audio output, and now we are taking a look at the BlackBerry Music Gateway, which partly mimics the auxiliary functionality of the stereo speaker, in a much smaller form factor. BlackBerry 2013 roadmap leaked , BlackBerry 10 Tablet and Phablet may be in the works

Looks like there is a new BlackBery 10 leak on the inter webs. The BlackBerry Z10 was the first BlackBerry 10 device to be launched along with the Q10 and it was leaked a lot before the official reveal on January 30th. Now some presentation slides have emerged which show a B10 L which might the first BlackBerry 10 tablet. Also we see a U10 which looks like a Phablet/Large screen device. Mike Laziridis, co-founder of Research in Motion, to leave Blackberry on 1st May

After Blackberry’s earnings release, Mike Laziridis announced that he plans to leave the company on 1st May. He stepped down as co-CEO last year and has been holding the position of Vice Chair of the Board.

Amazon has launched the Kindle app for the BlackBerry 10 devices. This would read, buy and also sample the books right from your BlackBerry 10 devices. The Wall Street Journal has also released their official app for BlackBerry 10 that offers News, Opinion, Marketplace, Greater New York and more. BlackBerry India head resigns

Just weeks after launching the BlackBerry Z10, BlackBerry’s head honcho in India decided to resign the job, effective immediately. Previously known as Research in motion, the Waterloo company recently launched its revamped smartphone efforts with new devices based on the BlackBerry 10 operating system. The BlackBerry Z10 was launched in India with a hefty price tag of Rs. 43, 490 and it was supposedly sold out within two day, with BlackBerry scrambling to refill the chain with a fresh inflow of devices. But, after all this, it has been revealed that the BlackBerry India head is resigning today.
