Acer has unveiled 2 new smartphones Liquid Z2 and Liquid E1 for the European markets. The Liquid E1 was formally announced last month, now the company has announced it for the European markets. The Liquid Z2 has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Acer Liquid C1 with 4.3-inch qHD IPS display, 1.2 GHz Intel Atom processor announced
Acer and Intel has announced the Liquid C1 powered by the Intel’s 1.2 GHz Atom Lexington Z2420 processor for the Asia Pacific region. The Xolo X500 that was launched in India last week uses the same processor, Acer was also announced as a partner at the announcement in CES 2013 last month. The Liquid C1 has a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS touch screen display with 16:9 ratio and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 8MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash that can capture images at 5 frames per second. It also features a 0.3MP front-facing camera. Acer has announced the Liquid E1, a new mid-range smartphone in the Liquid series. It has a 4.5-inch (960 × 540 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor. It has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash, 720p HD video recording. It also features a VGA front-facing camera. Acer has launched the ICONIA B1, the company’s first affordable Android tablet in India. It was announced last week at CES 2013. It comes with a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Mediatek MT 8317T processor. Acer has announced 2 new phones, Liquid Gallant and Liquid Gallant Duo. The Liquid Gallant is Single SIM and Liquid Gallant Duo is a Dual-SIM variant that share similar specs. The Liquid Gallant Duo was spotted at Expansys last month at a price of 149 GBP (US$230) but later removed. These phones come with a 4.3-inch (960×540) display, 1GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash. Acer might launch Acer CloudMobile Smartphone at MWC
There are number of beautiful Android handsets available in the market but not all of them are attractive enough to catch your eye. I personally believe that Xperia Arc is probably the most beautiful smartphone yet, but it seems that I might need to reconsider that. Acer is planning to launch the Acer CloudMobile at the Mobile World Congress, which is an amazing phone with jaw-dropping design, as you can see the image above, it will make you fall in love with the design. The device won iF design award and it will be launched around Q2-2012 in North America and China first, then later in other countries. Acer Iconia Tab A500 To Get Android 3.1 Update On July 5
Acer Germany team recently posted on their Facebook page, that the much awaited Android 3.1 update will be available in Germany during the next month. Acer have not yet announced the release date of the Android 3.1 update in other countries.
Last month, Acer launched its much awaited Android tablet, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 in India. This tablet runs on the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) Operating System. But we have a good news for those, who were eagerly waiting for the Android 3.1 update on the Acer’s amazing Iconia A500 tablet. Acer Germany team recently posted on their Facebook page, that the much awaited Android 3.1 update will be available in Germany from July 5.
Acer Iconia Tab A500 features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display with 1280 X 800 resolution, 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra dual core processor, Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) Operating System, Acer User Interface, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, 5 megapixel rear camera with flash, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, HDMI port, USB port, DLNA certified, Dolby Mobile, 3.5mm Audio Jack, Full HD Playback, 16 GB internal memory, 32 GB expandable memory, and a Li-polymer battery with up to 8 hrs back up.
According to the Acer Germany’s Facebook page, the update will be available Over-The-Air (OTA) and the users will be automatically notified on their device as soon as the update is available for their device. Acer have not yet announced the release date of the Android 3.1 update in other countries, but you can expect the update before the end of July.
