Facebook Poke for iPhone launched, takes on Snapchat

Facebook has finally launched a new app called Poke for iPhone as rumored. This app would let you send a message, photo, or video to Facebook friends that expires after a specific time (1, 3, 5 or 10 seconds). This message disappears after the specified time. Earlier this month, Facebook for Android got updated allowing new users to sign up using their name and phone number without a Facebook account. Dropbox Beta for Android updated with Multiple photo sharing, deleting and Albums in Photos tab

Dropbox for Android introduced photos tabs for uploads back in October, now they have released a new Beta version that enhances the photos tab. The new 2.2.2.8 experimental build for Android brings option select, share , delete and create albums from the photos tab. The Dropbox for iPhone and iPad got the Photos tab in the version 2.0 update last week but these new features are not available yet. Flipboard for Android gets Tablet support finally

Filpboard, popular social magazine app for Android has been updated to version 1.9.14 that finally brings tablet support. This would let you browse the app easily on Android tablets with the new UI optimized for tablets. The tablet interface has a sidebar with topics and offers four pages of tiles to browse quickly. SwiftKey v3.1 for Android brings new theme, new languages including Hindi, Hinglish and more

SwiftKey keyboard for Android has been updated to version 3.1 that brings support for new languages including Hindi and Hinglish (hybrid of Hindi and English), new Berry theme and more. SwiftKey now includes support for 54 different languages. Nuance introduced introduced support for Hinglish keyboard in Swype for Android earlier this year. SwiftKey is also offering both the SwiftKey 3.1 for Android Phones and Tablets at a 50% discount for a limited period, just like last year. Twitter for BlackBerry v4.0 update brings better navigation with new tabs

Twitter for BlackBerry has been updated to version 4.0 that brings new streamlined design and new tabs for better interaction. Connect tab shows you who retweeted, favorited and followed you, and also shows mentions. The Discover tab shows Trends, Who to follow suggestions and makes it easy to browse categories. The Me tab shows Messages, lists and favorited Tweets. These new tabs were available for Twitter for Android and iPhone last December. Times of India has launched a new app called Alive that would let you view videos, photos, and polls related to a news just by pointing the app at a newspaper item with Alive logo.
