BBC international has launched their official BBC Sport application for iPhone. It offers Sports news, live scores, stats, commentary and analysis on-the-go. It was first launched for UK, and aims at offering football scores including starting line-ups, match stats, live text commentary and the post-match report. Microsoft Research releases Blink burst image lens app for Windows Phone 8 devices

Microsoft Research has released Blink for Windows Phone 8 device that would let you capture a burst of images. It uses Advanced image stabilization technology from Microsoft Research removes camera shake and lets you focus on the important parts of the scene. Since this is a camera lens app just like the Bing Vision and the recently updated Bing Translator, you can easily launch it quickly when you launch the camera. Carbon for Twitter finally arrives for Android

Carbon Twitter client for Android that was first previewed in March last year is finally available on Google Play. The UI looks good, and there are lot of unique features such as Tilt to Refresh, QuickTimeline, but it is missing lot of settings, Homescreen Widgets and Streaming. Evernote has updated their Hello app for iPhone to version 2.0 that brings lot of new features including a new user interface with a new home screen that offers more context of a person at a glace, option to scan business cards (free for first 2 month, after that it would be available only for premium users), LinkedIn and Facebook integration and lots more new features. Twitter launches Vine video sharing app for iPhone

Twitter has launched Vine, a new video sharing service that would let users upload a video clip up to 6 seconds directly from their mobile phone. The Vine uses a similar concept to share and discover what’s happening in the world in short and easy way just like Twitter’s 140-character limit. Even though there are several video sharing services that would let you post on twitter, this app seems fun and easy to create short videos, including stop motion videos. Opera Ice Mobile Browser shown off, coming to Android, iPhone and iPad in February

Opera Ice, upcoming mobile browser for Android, iPhone and iPad has been revealed in a new video demo. The beta version of the app was shown off last month in an internal Opera staff meeting that Pocket-lint managed to get. The Opera Ice uses WebKit browser engine used by Apple and Google, unlike the Opera’s Presto present in the Opera Mini and the Opera Mobile . Facebook for Android has been updated to version 2.1 that brings new features including voice messaging that was present in the Facebook Messenger app, option to share or re-post news stories and photos to friend’s time line, groups or pages, other than your own time line and more new features. The Facebook Messenger for Android got the option to send quick voice messages earlier this month and the Sharing option for Facebook for Android was introduced back in November. Imangi Studios, the creators of Temple Run has launched the Temple Run 2, sequel to the first game. The Temple Run 2 also has the similar game play mechanics such as running, jumping, turning and sliding, but adds new features including cliffs, zip lines, mines and forests.
