China has blocked WhatsApp, according to a latest report from the New York Times. Facebook Messenger crosses 1.3 billion monthly active users

Facebook Messenger now has over 1.3 billion monthly active users. The user base has increased from 1.2 billion in April. Messenger surpassed the one billion monthly active users (MAUs) mark in July 2016. Facebook owned WhatsApp also has 1.3 billion MAUs.

Facebook has revealed financial earnings for Q2 2017. The social network has recorded $9.32 billion in revenue, up 45% year-over-year (YoY). Net profit in the second quarter leapt 71 percent from a year ago to $3.9 billion.
