China has blocked WhatsApp, according to a latest report from the New York Times. Facebook Messenger now has over 1.3 billion monthly active users. The user base has increased from 1.2 billion in April. Messenger surpassed the one billion monthly active users (MAUs) mark in July 2016. Facebook owned WhatsApp also has 1.3 billion MAUs.
