Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro sales cross 5 million in India in 4 months of launch

Xiaomi today announced that its Redmi Note 5 series that includes the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro have crossed 5 million sales in India, since it was launched back in February this year.  Xiaomi says that it’s the fastest selling phone series in India to cross the 5 million mark in the given time across all platforms.

It took 6 months for the Redmi Note 4 to cross 5 million units, and 10 million units within one year of launch. The company did not individual sales numbers for the smartphones.

Even though it has been 4 months since the launch, the company still continues to sell the smartphone every week online, and the 6GB RAM version of the Redmi Note 5 Pro goes out of stock within minutes.

In a statement, Xiaomi said:

Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, including all variants for both smartphones, have gained massive popularity and received huge love from Mi fans. We have worked diligently to ramp up the supplies of our Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro so that Mi Fans can buy them easily at any time.
