Qualcomm had announced the Snapdragon 710 platform built on the 10nm process last month in China. Qualcomm to integrate WPA3 security features across mobile and networking products

Qualcomm today announced that it is integrating WPA3 support across mobile and networking infrastructure products. WPA3 was introduced back in January and is the industry’s newest Wi-Fi security and provides robust protection for user passwords and stronger privacy in both public and private Wi-Fi networks. Reliance Jio is said to be in talks with the chip maker Qualcomm to bring laptops running Windows 10 and built-in cellular connection for the Indian market. A couple of days ago it was reported that Xiaomi is working on two smartphones that will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670. However, a new report from XDA says that Qualcomm might be re-branding the Snapdragon 670 to Snapdragon 710 and we can now confirm that at least of the Xiaomi phone will come equipped with the Snapdragon 710. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chipset which is the successor to the Snapdragon 660 has not yet been announced officially and we keep hearing about the chipset every now and then. It is reported that the the chipset will be manufactured on a 10nm process and feature Adreno 615 GPU. Broadcom withdraws its proposal to acquire Qualcomm

BroadcomU.S. president Trump earlier this week ordered Broadcom to stop its acquisition of Qualcomm citing national security concerns. Following the president’s order, Broadcom today has announced that it withdrawing its proposal to acquire Qualcomm and it has also withdrawn its slate of independent director nominees for Qualcomm’s 2018 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
