LG-F320 with Snapdragon 800 processor spotted in AnTuTu benchmark test
LG’s much awaited Optimus G2 handset might have just showed up in bencharks if an AnTuTu result is to be believed. The phone is believed to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor and scores a very impressive 32,0002 points in the test. It is safe to assume that the handset with the codename F320 is in fact the LG Optimus G2 that the company intends to launch at it’s event in Korea on August 7th.

LG to show off unbreakable, flexible 5 inch OLED panel at SID
Over at the SID display exhibition in Vancouver, LG plans to show off its new unbreakable and flexible OLED panel. This 5 inch panel would be in addition to the 55 inch OLED TV that they previously talked about. The OLED panel targets mobile devices and has a display constructed of plastic. This plastic construction makes it flexible and unbreakable.

Smartphones outship Feature phones for the first time ever – IDC

International Data Corporation(IDC), the market research firm that usually outs numbers for the mobile phone market every quarter has something new to say this quarter. According to them, the first quarter of 2013 has been the first time ever in the history of the mobile phone market that the Smartphones have outshipped feature phones. The whole worldwide mobile phone market seems to have grown 4% this quarter. Samsung still remains the leader in the mobile phone market dominating sales in both smartphones as well as feature phones.

Will Google start selling the Nexus 4 in India soon ?

In an interesting development , Google has listed the Nexus 7 up for sale on the Google Play India store just minutes ago. This is the first time Google is directly selling a device in India to a customer through its Play store. This might be a sign of things to come. The Nexus 4 is also hidden on the store but the page says that ” it is not available in your country ” . There has been a lot of speculation about the Nexus 4 launching in India ever since Google started selling one of the most affordable Android 4.2 powered in the US market.

LG Optimus F7 Hands On
LG showed off its new F7 handset here at the Mobile World Congress. The handset is a part of their upper middle range strategy and has a large 4.7″ 720p display.

The screen is of the IPS variety and offers pretty good viewing angles. We quite liked the feel of the device with runs on Android 4.1.2 though it would benefit from the use of slightly higher end materials. Continue reading “LG Optimus F7 Hands On”
MWC Day 1 Round Up Video
We’re just about to begin with day 2 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona but decided to do a round up of all that’s gone down so far. On day 1 we saw Nokia launch four new products targeting the budget segment. The Nokia 105 which is a 15 Euro phone with a month of standby time and the Nokia Lumia 720 with a f1.9 camera particularly stood out from the rest of the devices.

Moving on, we had Sony announce its Xperia Tablet Z. A 10″ tablet with a full HD screen. It is powered by a now fairly standard quad core processor. LG showed off the Optimus G Pro, the successor to the Optimus G announced last year. Specifications include a full HD display and a Snapdragon S4 quad core processor. LG L3 II and L7 II were some of the other phones announced.

Asus had a very interesting device to reveal at MWC. The FonePad with a 7″ screen also has an integrated dialer which means that it can also be used as a phone if you so wish. Also revealed was the Padfone Infinity which brings a full HD display on both the 5″ phone and the 10″ tablet that it slides into. ZTE had the Grand Memo with a massive 5.7″ Full HD display and powered by the Snapdragon 800 processor making it one of the first devices to run on the new chipset. So that was day 1 at the Mobile World Congress. We’ve got three more days to go and lots more to cover!

It has a 4.3-inch (960 × 540 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual-Core processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) with QSlide, Live Zooming, QuickMemo, QTranslator, Video Wiz, Safety Care and more features.

‘It’s been a while since rumors indicated that LG was also trying to create its own mobile processors in order to catch up with the leading brands. It seems that LG is preparing to use its own octa-core processor known as “Odin” for the upcoming Optimus G2 smartphone.

LG just confirmed its presence at Mobile World Congress 2013 which we did hear about at CES 2013. LG will be showing of its products for 2013 at the first day of the mega event just before the show begins.The invite has the number 4 on the top and we are not sure what LG is trying to convey through it.May be we could see 4 new mobile products from LG Mobile .
