Google Maps Street View launched in India

Using data from local collaborators Tech Mahindra and Mumbai-based Genesis International, Google has unveiled its interactive 360-degree panorama feature for 10 Indian cities. The firm claims that it will enable a more reliable, accurate, and visual mapping experience for its users, solving local challenges for communities at scale and also facilitating a more sustainable environment for future generations. Samsung and Google are integrating stylus handwriting-to-text into Chrome for Android

Google officially begins integrating Hangouts into Google Chat

The nearly two-year-old shift from Hangouts to Google Chat will enter its last phase, according to a blog post from Google. An in-app notification will appear for users of Hangouts on mobile, urging them to switch to Chat in Gmail or the Chat app. Google says that the new reminder will help the existing Hangouts users switch to the Chat app before Hangouts is shut down for good in November.
