At present both the companies are the only ones that make OLED display panels. The report says that Apple has decided to add Samsung as another vendor for the OLED panel. In normal case, Apple usually contracts two or three vendors of electronics parts for its products to keep rivals price-competitive and to secure a stable supply. However, the company has initiated working with LG and Samsung to develop a flexible OLED display panel which are said to be thinner and lighter than the current-generation displays present on the existing Apple Watch.

The next generation Apple Watch is rumored to support FaceTime Camera and build in WiFi. In addition, the Apple Watch 2 could feature a thinner display in order for Apple to include a larger capacity battery.
