HTC One M8 gets Android 4.4.3 update in India along with 4G LTE support

HTC is rolling out Android 4.4.3 update to One M8 devices in India. The carrier update which is already live has improvements for the camera and the BoomSound speakers. In addition, the update is enabling 4G LTE support to the One M8 devices.

KitKat 4.4 runs on over 20% of Android devices, Jelly Bean continues to shrink

Google has revealed Android distribution numbers for the month of August that covers a period of time of 7 days, ending on August 12. The data shows the most recent version of Android KitKat reach an all-time usage high at 20.9 percent, up from 17.9 percent this time last month thereby recording a 3 percent growth.

Android accounts for 85% of smartphone share in Q2 of 2014, Xiaomi hits fifth spot: Report

Android continued its dominance in the smartphone market and accounted for a record 84.6% share of global smartphone shipments in Q2 of 2014, according to research by Strategy Analytics. Global smartphone shipments reached 295.2 million units in Q2 said the report.
