HTC First leaked ahead of 4th April Facebook event

Facebook has been rumored to be working on a hardware element for its mobile strategy for years now and its intentions are expected to be revealed at an Android centric event to be held on 4th of April. The popular social network has worked with smartphone manufacturer, HTC, in the past on Android hardware and is expected to announce another partnership at the event.

Samsung Galaxy Mega line of Android smartphones rumored with 5.8 and 6.3 inch displays

A new report suggests that Samsung might be working on a  new line of devices even larger than the Galaxy Note phablet. Dubbed the Galaxy Mega, the  ‘phones’ will sport displays ranging between 5.8 inches and 6.3 inches. The operating system of choice is expected to be Android.

Gionee has launched its flagship device, the Dream D1, that hopes to hit all the checkpoints in terms of buzzwords and provide ‘high-end’ features to users on a moderate budget. Asus PadFone 2 gets minor software update – improves stability , camera and WiFi performance

Asus is one of the best handset makers to provide timely updates for its Android phones. They launched the PadFone 2 last year with Android 4.0  ICS on board and rolled out an update to Android 4.1 JellyBean last year.Now the PadFone 2 has got a rather minor software update which is expected to make the already awesome PadFone 2 even more stable. There seem to be improvements in overall stability , camera , WiFi and battery life according to the official change log which you can find below.

Gionee Dream D1 Hands On Video

Gionee is one of the newest entrants into India’s fairly crowded mid-range Android smartphone space. We’ve got our hands on their brand new product, the Gionee Dream D1. The phone brings an interesting mix of fairly high end specifications at a decidedly low price point.

The phone combines a 4.65inch 720p Super AMOLED display with a Mediatek Quad Core processor running at 1.2Ghz to provide quite an excellent multimedia experience. Samsung Note 3, Galaxy Tab 3 to make an appearance at IFA 2013

Samsung launched its 2013 flagship, the Galaxy S4 at an event in New York a few weeks back but rumors have already started spreading around the launch of its next and arguably more exciting device. The Galaxy Note line of giant sized smartphones have pioneered and set the tone for the phablet category and we expect to see the next generation later this year.

Samsung launched their flagship Android phone the Galaxy S4 in New York City on March 14,2013 amidst a lot of hype and excitement very similar to what the iPhone has always received.The Galaxy S4 is a beast in terms of specs packing a 5inch SuperAMOLED 1080p display, 8-core processor, 13MP Camera, LTE, Android 4.2.2. Nvidia Project Shield Hands On

Nvidia’s move into handheld gaming is one that has been met with much skepticism. Over at the Mobile World Congress, we spent some time with non final hardware to gauge for ourselves whether Project Shield was as impressive as it sounds.

The hardware itself is essentially a gamepad with a 5-inch 720p foldable screen attached to it. Leaked video on Youtube shows Google Now coming to iOS

Google Now is the personal assistant which was introduced to Android with version 4.1 Jelly Bean. Google Now is based on search and local data. As of now, Google Now has only been available for Android. Just some time back Google posted a Youtube video of Google Now coming to iPhone and iPad, but this video was removed instantly. Looks like Google did not mean to show the video as of yet but was leaked somehow and has since then been removed from their channel.

Samsung to introduce Smart scroll feature which tracks eyes in Galaxy S IV

Samsung is set to launch its flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S IV next week. Rumors are trickling in about the features of this device and the latest scoop is that the device will have a feature which will track the movement of your eyeballs and will help you scroll and do other things without touching the screen.

Samsung teases the Galaxy S4 in a unpacked video [Update: New video]

It was already known just a week back that the launch is going to happen on March 14th, but Samsung has gone and just unveiled a teaser video for the Samsung Galaxy S4, undoubtedly one of the most awaited flagship devices this year. Google Chrome to bring server side compression for faster browsing?

Opera Mini’s been doing it for a long time, with Amazon Silk and the Nokia S40 Xpress Browser chiming in with similar functionality over the past years, all aimed at reducing the amount of mobile data consumed while browsing on the go. It may seem like a not-so-great idea considering the ubiquity of mobile data today, but the problem is still real, with carriers getting choked on one end, and people unwillingly spending their valuable data on the other end. Like other, Google too is now looking at fixing this using server side optimization of websites using a proxy server. This was spotted by Google Plus user Francois.
