Samsung has officially announced the Gear 360, its first 360 degree virtual reality camera as expected. It comes with dual fisheye lenses, both of which have 15 megapixel image sensors and can capture high-resolution (3840×1920) 360-degree video that also supports 30 megapixel still images.
A few days back, we reported that Samsung might be looking to release a Gear 360 VR camera alongside the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge later this month. Now, the source code of the Unpacked event seems to indicate that the device will be announced there.
