IndieSemic Private Limited, an India-based semiconductor design company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Prizor Viztech Limited, a provider of security and surveillance solutions.
The agreement covers the development, validation, and commercial deployment of ISC-S2-PZ, a System-on-Chip (SoC) designed specifically for CCTV applications. The collaboration is intended to support India’s domestic semiconductor ecosystem for the security and surveillance sector.
Scope of the MoU
The scope of the MoU includes joint testing, field trials, validation support, and market deployment of the ISC-S2-PZ chipset. Deployment will be carried out through Prizor’s existing manufacturing and supply network. Both companies will work together through the validation and integration phases prior to commercial rollout.
Chip design and execution responsibilities
Under the agreement, IndieSemic will supply the ISC-S2-PZ SoC, which is based on the VEGA processor architecture. Prizor will be responsible for technical validation, field testing, and integration of the chipset into its CCTV and surveillance product portfolio.
Exclusive rights and purchase commitment
Following successful validation, Prizor will hold exclusive rights to procure, use, and distribute the ISC-S2-PZ chipset in India and international markets for a period of three years. As part of the agreement, Prizor has committed to purchasing 50 lakh units per year for a minimum duration of three years.
Localisation and supply continuity
The partnership enables Prizor to incorporate a domestically designed SoC into its surveillance products. This supports long-term localisation objectives and supply continuity by reducing reliance on externally sourced semiconductor components.
Semiconductor ecosystem development
IndieSemic is engaged in the design and development of integrated circuits, RF modules, and system-level solutions for embedded and industrial applications. Through this MoU, both companies are expected to work closely on localising critical semiconductor components for the surveillance sector.
The collaboration supports the creation of an end-to-end domestic value chain spanning chip design, validation, manufacturing integration, and market deployment, with a focus on scalability and long-term supply assurance.
Commenting on the development, Nikul Shah, Founder, and CEO, IndieSemic Pvt Ltd, said,
We are pleased to work with Prizor to take an indigenously designed CCTV-specific SoC from development to large-scale commercial deployment. The ISC-S2-PZ has been designed to meet the requirements of the security and surveillance industry, including performance, security, and system integration. This collaboration offers a defined pathway for validation, field deployment, and volume adoption of a domestically designed chip, while also supporting India’s semiconductor design capabilities and reducing dependence on imported solutions.
Speaking on the development, Mitali Goswami, Managing Director, Prizor Viztech Limited, said,
This partnership marks a strategic milestone for Prizor. By validating and bringing IndieSemic’s indigenous ISC-S2-PZ chipset to market, we are aligning advanced semiconductor design with our established surveillance manufacturing capabilities. The ISC-S2-PZ has been designed for high-performance video analytics, data security, and next-generation AI-enabled CCTV features, which align closely with our future product roadmap.
Our exclusive distribution rights and large-volume purchase commitment reflect our confidence in this technology. Through this collaboration, Prizor takes another step toward backward integration beyond our SMT line, strengthening control over our technology stack and supporting long-term competitiveness. This partnership aligns with our commitment to ‘Make in India’ innovation and strengthens India’s presence in the global security camera industry.
