motorola has posted teasers for a new device that claims “premium deserves its signature.” This is expected to be the company’s next top-end phone in the new Signature series replacing the edge Ultra models.
The image features a woman in a gold dress standing out amidst a crowd of monochrome suits, reinforced by the tagline: “now, in an age where everything looks and feels the same, premium deserves its signature.”
Another plays heavily on motorola’s legacy, reminding us that “back in 1973, Motorola gave the world its first portable phone.” The copy pivots from this historical flex to a modern promise: “from that moment, innovation became our signature.”
What is the “Signature” Phone?

Industry insiders and recent leaks suggest this “Signature” device is likely the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra (codenamed Urus), potentially rebranded or launched as the first in a standalone “Signature Series.”

The device is rumored to be one of the first in India to sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. We can expect a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, likely continuing Motorola’s trend of “endless edge” curves or a sophisticated micro-quad curve. A recently Geekbench listing revealed 16GB of RAM and Android 16 for the phone.
A square camera island (a shift from previous designs) housing a triple 50MP setup, including a Sony Lytia main sensor and a high-performance periscope telephoto lens.
Leaked renders have shown finishes in “Carbon” and “Martini Olive,” aligning with the teaser’s promise of unique aesthetics. We can expect premium materials like vegan leather, which has become a staple of Motorola’s ultra-premium tier.
The “Signature” Angle
By separating this device from the standard numerical “Edge” series, Motorola seems to be positioning it as a luxury lifestyle object rather than just a spec sheet. The heavy emphasis on “Signature” suggests a focus on personalization—perhaps offering unique Pantone colorways or bespoke material finishes that allow the user to “stand out,” mirroring the woman in the gold dress from the teaser.
Launch date?
The Flipkart microsite just says stay tuned, but we can expect the phone to launch sometime in January 2026.
