Google VR View lets you add 360-degree content into apps and websites

Google has introduced VR View a new tool that will allow developers to embed immersive 360 degree content like photos and videos to apps and websites.

The VR view tool takes 360 degrees VR images or videos and transform them into interactive experiences that users can view on their phone, with a Cardboard viewer, or on their desktop computer. In order to engage with VR content, you need to have a VR headset and use a dedicated VR app that supports headset. It will enable you to click a button in your browser or tap a photo in an app and take a photo that is happening all around you.

A VR View can be embedded for native apps by using the latest Cardboard SDK for Android or iOS and adding a few lines of code. In case of desktop, embedding a VR view is as simple as adding an iframe on your site. VR View supports photos taken with Cardboard Camera app and Ricoh Theta cameras natively

Google has also released an official Cardboard SDK for iOS. The Cardboard SDK includes a variety of tools to help with building out virtual reality software, including 3D calibration, head tracking, and spatial audio.
