Skype has announced a couple of new changes that are aimed at modernizing and improving the experience of communicating on the platform. These include various new updates to the video calling screen, new themes and customization options, a new TwinCam feature and more.

Xiaomi just launched the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, the company’s latest mid-range 5G smartphone in India, as it had announced. It has a 6.55-inch AMOLED Dot Display with 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit TrueColor support and Dolby Vision that also works on Netflix. It is powered by Snapdragon 778G 5G Mobile Platform with up to 8GB of RAM, support for up to 12 5G bands, and has liquid cooling. The phone runs Android 11 with MIUI 12.5. Xiaomi promises 3 years of software updates and 4 years of security updates for the phone. Samsung just launched the Galaxy F42 5G, the company’s latest 5G smartphone in the F series in India, as it had announced. At the Global Fintech Festival yesterday, Xiaomi announced its future plans for contactless payments. The company announced that it will launch Xiaomi NFC Mi Pay straps for its smartwatches and Mi bands soon that will allow users to experience contactless payments at offline stores. The YouTube Music app has now begun rolling out for select WearOS 2 smartwatches. One of the highlight features of the app is support for offline downloads that allows YouTube Music Premium subscribers to download music directly on to their WearOS smartwatch for an ad-free listening experience without being near their smartphone.
POCO has announced the launch of C31 budget smartphone in India on September 30th. The teaser image shows a water-drop screen, and the company has confirmed 4GB of RAM and Helio G35 SoC which we had already seen in last year’s POCO C3.
