Xiaomi begins Android 12 internal testing for range of smartphones

Google, last month, officially unveiled Android 12 and started rolling out Android 12 Stable updates for eligible Pixel smartphones. Xiaomi had also announced Android 12 Public Beta for some of its flagship range devices including Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11, and Mi 11 (Mi 11X Pro in India). Now, the Chinese smartphone giant seems to be gearing up to bring Android 12 to more handsets.

Lenovo YOGA Pro14s Carbon and YOGA 16S 2022 with Ryzen 5000 series processors announced

Lenovo announced two new products in their YOGA series of laptops, namely the YOGA Pro 14s Carbon Ryzen Edition and YOGA 16S Ryzen Edition 2022. As the names suggest, they are both powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 Mobile processors, feature up to 2.5K 120Hz displays, up to an 8-hour battery life and more.

Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.6 with 2.5K 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 870, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos announced

After several teasers, Lenovo has introduced Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.6 in China. It was introduced as Lenovo Tab P12 Pro back in September globally. The tablet features a 2.5K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It has low-blue light emission certification from TÜV Rheinland plus a smarter Direct Current (DC) Dimming setting that lowers the amount of power going to the display for better performance in low light scenarios. SpaceX Starlink opens Indian subsidiary company, plans to launch 2 lakh terminals by 2022

SpaceX, the American aerospace manufacturer, has announced the registration and opening of their India-based subsidiary of Starlink satellite-based internet company. Starlink also revealed their plans to launch nearly 2 lakh active user terminals by the end of 2022 to start operations.

Pixel 6 Pro display flickering issue — Google confirms to fix with December update

The Google Pixel 6 Pro launched last month, featuring a QHD+ 120Hz OLED display. In the past week, multiple user reports have emerged that show a weird display flickering issue when the phone is switched off and the power button is clicked. Google has acknowledged the issue and has announced a software fix is incoming with the December software update.

As part of the ongoing 5G trials in India, Vodafone Idea said that it has partnered with Ericsson to trial 5G use cases in healthcare sector in remote parts of the country. Vi has been allocated 26 GHz mmWave band by the DoT, along with the traditional 3.5 GHz spectrum band in Pune, for 5G network trials. Worldwide Chromebook shipments decline 29.8% YoY in Q3 2021; tablet shipments decline 9.4%: IDC

Following the declining shipments trend of the worldwide smartphone market, the worldwide market for Chromebooks and tablets recorded a decline of 29.8% YoY and 9.4% YoY respectively during Q3 2021. In a report released by the International Data Corporation, the amount of Chromebooks shipped were 6.5 million units while the amount of tablets shipped were 42.3 million units.
