According to a report by Counterpoint Research, the Indian TWS market recorded strong numbers during the third quarter of 2021. The market reportedly grew by 55% YoY in terms of shipments, and the top 5 manufacturers were boAt, realme, Noise, Apple and Boult Audio.
realme is a company that is well known among Indian consumers as a brand that makes smartphones, smartphone accessories, TVs and more. They have now entered a new product segment – the Indian laptop market, and has launched the realme Book (Slim). After several teasers, Lenovo has introduced Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.6 in China. It was introduced as Lenovo Tab P12 Pro back in September globally. The tablet features a 2.5K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It has low-blue light emission certification from TÜV Rheinland plus a smarter Direct Current (DC) Dimming setting that lowers the amount of power going to the display for better performance in low light scenarios. SpaceX, the American aerospace manufacturer, has announced the registration and opening of their India-based subsidiary of Starlink satellite-based internet company. Starlink also revealed their plans to launch nearly 2 lakh active user terminals by the end of 2022 to start operations.
The Google Pixel 6 Pro launched last month, featuring a QHD+ 120Hz OLED display. In the past week, multiple user reports have emerged that show a weird display flickering issue when the phone is switched off and the power button is clicked. Google has acknowledged the issue and has announced a software fix is incoming with the December software update.
As part of the ongoing 5G trials in India, Vodafone Idea said that it has partnered with Ericsson to trial 5G use cases in healthcare sector in remote parts of the country. Following the declining shipments trend of the worldwide smartphone market, the worldwide market for Chromebooks and tablets recorded a decline of 29.8% YoY and 9.4% YoY respectively during Q3 2021. In a report released by the International Data Corporation, the amount of Chromebooks shipped were 6.5 million units while the amount of tablets shipped were 42.3 million units.

Lava today confirmed the launch of its AGNI 5G, the company’s first 5G smartphone in India, on November 9th. HUAWEI today launched the HUAWEI WATCH FIT, the company’s latest smartwatch in India, after it was introduced last year. It features a 1.64-inch HD unique rectangular AMOLED touch screen with auto-brightness adjustment offering better viewing in sunlight and six Always-On watch faces. It offers 50m (5 ATM) water resistance, built-in GPS, heart rate tracking, and up to 10 days of battery life. Earlier this year, there were multiple rumours talking about Apple working on a new Mixed Reality headset that may launch in 2022. According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the headset will feature support for Wi-Fi 6E and is expected to cost a lot.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 11 series a couple of days back in China. The Redmi Note 11 series consists of three handsets – Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and Redmi Note 11 Pro+.
