Nokia has announced their new S40 touch and type phone Nokia Asha 300 that is powered by a 1 Ghz processor and has 3G similar to Nokia 303. It has 2.4-inch resistive touch display and is 12.7mm thick and weighs 85g. It has 5MP camera with video recording at 25 fps and has 32GB expandable memory. Nokia has just unveiled its 2nd Windows Phone device. The Nokia 710 which comes in black and white varieties will offer a choice of black, white, cyan, fuchsia and yellow back covers. The 3.7-inch screen offers an 800 x 480-pixel resolution with a ClearBlack TFT for great colors and readability even in bright sunlight. At the rear, there’s a five-megapixel auto-focus camera with an LED flash. The camera can also shoot HD video at 30 frames-per-second.

Nokia has just revealed one of its first Windows Phone devices ie the Nokia 800 Lumia. The phone runs on Windows Phone 7.5 and is powered by a 1.4Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 512MB of RAM.
During the keynote speech at Nokia World , the company has announced 4 new devices under its Nokia Asha series as part of its offering for developing markets. Headlining these devices is the Nokia 303.
The cross platform messenger service Kik today launched its Symbian and updated Windows Phone apps at the Nokia World conference in London. The messenger competes with the likes of WhatsApp and is also available on iOS , Android and Blackberry platforms. With the new Symbian app Kik Messenger users should be able to communicate regardless of platform of choice.

This morning I had the chance to play with Motorola’s newest Android smartphone – the RAZR. The impossibly slim smartphone is the thinnest I have ever held. At 7.1mm thickness, the RAZR best the Galaxy S2 by a full 1.4mm.
The RAZR’s specs are typical of what to expect from a late 2011 smartphone. Beneath the glossy and stylish metal exterior lies a Texas Instrument OMAP 4430 SoC with dual core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor and PowerVR SGX540 GPU. The advancement of Android in Asia is strikingly impressive. So when Samsung and Google decided to shift the Galaxy Nexus event to Hong Kong, it probably had to do something with the latest report from ABI analysis that reveals a tremendous 52% of the smartphones in Asia are running Android; as opposed to the 43% of the smartphone merchandize in the US.
