Nokia’s gaming centric handset , the Nokia X7 is now available in India. We spotted a few units at the Priority Dealer where we could take a demo piece for a spin. The X7 comes with a 4″ AMOLED screen and runs Symbian Anna. The camera is an 8MP EDoF unit. The unit comes with a 8GB microSD card in the package and supports upto 32GB of memory. The phone has been priced at Rs 22,000.

Twitter for Blackberry has been updated to version 2.0.0.15 (known as version 2.0) in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. This update includes changes from the customer feedback like, new color scheme, hidden compose bar, local trending topics etc. The last beta update v2.0 was available this May that had combined search feature. Facebook for Android has been updated to version 1.6.0, that brings video upload support. The previous version was 1.5.4 that was released this April. The new version also brings some improvements in the news feed and ability to view the Facebook pages. The video uploading feature was available for Facebook for PlayBook app recently. comScore Inc. announced the launch of Device Essentials which is a new service that reports digital traffic as per devices ranging from computers and mobile phones to e-readers and gaming devices. Using this service, analysis traffic pattern from different devices was made in thirteen different countries including India, which showed that 7.4% of traffic comes from iOS devices while Android follows with 6.5%

It’s actually sad to hear that Opera co-founder and current Advisor Jon von Tetzchner is leaving the company . I had the pleasure meeting Jon in 2009 and he’s a pretty knowledgeable guy and a pioneer in the internet space .He was in India recently for a Opera Meetup. He seems pretty tight lipped about this future plans, but we wish him luck !. Opera Software is the company behind Opera Mini and Mobile.
