MTS has launched Blaze 4.5, the company’s latest dual SIM (CDMA+GSM) smartphone in the Blaze series. It is the successor of the Blaze 4.0 and packs a 4.5 FWVGA display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Open Garden, a San Francisco-based company that promotes Net Neutrality released FireChat app for iPhone last week, that lets users chat with nearby users without WiFi, data connection or even cellular network. The app is now available for Android. This uses Open Garden’s mesh networking technology to enable peer-to-peer connections with other nearby Android devices. Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo (GT-I9300I) with dual SIM support has appeared on the official Samsung India website. The Galaxy S3 Neo+ with 1.4 GHz quad-core processor went official in China earlier this year, but the Galaxy S3 Neo has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. Last week a retailer revealed the specifications of the smartphone and mentioned that the smartphone would go on sale in India soon.

Following the yearly tradition, Apple has announced the dates for its Worldwide developer conference, the WWDC 2014, starting on the 2nd of June. The event, where Apple’s software products take center stage, mainly for their new features and updates, will be touching upon the future of iOS and OS X, the company’s operating systems for its two different kinds of devices. Oppo Find 7 was introduced as the successor of the Find 5. Oppo also unveiled the a variant with a 1080p display. Since both these share most features, Oppo decided to name it Find 7a, instead of Find 6. The Find 7a has a 5.5-inch display, bit larger than the 5-inch display on the Find 5, but the body is hardly larger than the Find 5. Among the myriad of announcements Microsoft made at its Build 2014 keynote is one small but highly important detail. With the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system moving to a WinRT layer, all the Microsoft platforms now run on the same runtime, which includes all the devices like a PC, a tablet, a phone, and yes, even the Xbox One. Powered by a common runtime, developers will be able to target all these devices with a shared set of code that will work across all the platforms, like for example notifications, in-app security and so forth. This also means that users can buy an app from one store and use it on another, although the interface will change according to the form factor.

LINE corporation, a company based in Japan has announced that LINE Messenger has crossed over 400 million users worldwide across all its platforms. The company crossed 300 million users back in November. It has added 100 million users in about four months. The company also announced that they have reached 18 million users in India in just 7 months after the launch. It reached 10 million mark in India in the first three months. Motorola Moto G Forte that was leaked last week has gone official in Mexico. It is just the Motorola Moto G smartphone with a grip shell as we expected. The Motorola Grip Shell for the Moto G was first launched in the U.S. earlier this year and it was launched in India along with the Moto G in February for Rs. 1099. Now it is available for Rs. 999.
