Oppo, one of the few Chinese companies that value design, had announced their first camera-centric flagship device Oppo N1 sometime back in September. Oppo N1 brings two innovations along with it – the swiveling camera on the top and OTouch rear sensor. The Oppo N1 is also the first phablet from the Chinese company with a huge 5.9 inch screen. We were astounded by the build quality that Oppo Find 5 brought along and we are so glad that it got even better in the Oppo N1. ANS Navigator App now available on Google Play Store
ANS and NNG, providers of GPS Navigation Hardware have launched the new ANS Navigator application for Android phones. The turn by turn navigation application that was previously available only for iOS devices is now on the Play Store and comes with mapping data for India that is as recent as Q2 2013. Zen Ultrafone Amaze 701 FHD Benchmarks
Zen launched the Ultrafone Amaze 701 FHD, the company’s latest flagship smartphone last month. We already brought you the unboxing of the device, here we have the benchmarks. The phone has a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display, powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). Lenovo Vibe Z with 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 processor official
Lenovo Vibe Z (K910), the company’s latest flagship smartphone surfaced in China last month. Now the phone is official in China through Lenovo’s website. It has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display at 400 PPI, powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with Vibe ROM on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor, dual LED flash f/1.8 aperture, BSI sensor and has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 84 degree wide viewing angle and f/ 2.2 aperture. ZTE nubia 5S with 5-inch 1080p display launching on November 19th
ZTE nubia 5 went on sale in the U.S. last month, now the press invite for the nubia 5S has arrived. The nubia 5S is set to launch on November 19th in Beijing Prosper Center. According to earlier leaks, the Nubia 5S is rumored to feature a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 GPU and run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). Apple iPad mini with Retina display goes on sale in a range of countries
Apple unveiled the Retina iPad mini along with the iPad Air at an event last month. The iPad Air went on sale in range of countries on November 1st, but the launch date of the new iPad mini was unknown, now the Apple has started selling the Retina iPad mini from the Apple online stores in range of countries. The new iPad mini has similar specifications as the iPad Air, except for the display and battery. It has a 7.9 inch Retina Display with 2048×1536 resolution, new A7 64 bit processor and runs on the latest iOS 7. Xiaomi sells 380,000 devices in a few hours on Singles day in China
Xiaomi, the company that has recently been in the spotlight for a wide variety of reasons, has just sold 380,000 devices in just a few hours on Singles day in China. A quick TIL fact – Singles day in China is a massive day for shopping, like, for example Diwali in India or Thanksgiving, in the US. It has been reported that this day is perhaps better(in terms of sales) than the Cyber Monday that the US observes. The day, also known as the “Anti-Valentines” day, majorly consisting of singles from all around China having parties and such, spurs shopping of around 2 billion US dollars all over the country, and Xiaomi seems to have nicely stocked up for the demand, as you can see from the image above, taken by the International Chief and previously VP of Android, Hugo Barra.

UC Browser on Windows Phone now supports background downloads
UC Browser, one of the best third party browsers on Windows Phone has received an update to support background downloads. The default browser – Internet Explorer doesn’t even support downloads, but UC browser shone as the only third party browser on Windows Phone that could, and it downloaded any file type, even MP3s and let you save them inside your Xbox music app. Previously, one needed to wait for the download to get completed before moving on to another app, but that was mainly due to a reasonable restriction on tightly integrated OSes like Windows Phone and iOS. But since WP8 and more recently GDR3, Microsoft has been a bit lenient and had opened up more options for developers to take advantage of. UC Browser does exactly that by allowing background downloads for the first time on Windows Phone.

Motorola Moto G press images surface, listings reveal price
Motorola recently announced an event on November 13th for the Moto G launch. The phone appeared on the Amazon UK and Tesco listing before it was pulled. Specifications of the Moto G surfaced last week, according to the rumors, the Moto G is expected to pack a 4.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) edge-to-edge display at 329 ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). Pebble Smartwatch app for iOS 7 update 1.3.0 now live, brings full notification center support
A few days back, Pebble, the Kickstarter success story that makes E-ink smartwatches, revealed their new 2.0 SDK with which developers could take advantage of the new capabilities and hooks in the software. It was also announced that there will be a new update to the Pebble Smartwatch app for devices running iOS 7, which will take advantage of the notification center Bluetooth APIs that Apple introduced with the new update. Well, that Smartwatch app update Pebble promised, which carries the version number – 1.3.0, is now live on the iTunes app store.

Tata Docomo launches Endless Music service for its pre-paid customers
Tata Docomo has launched Endless Music, a yet a new value added service (VAS) for its pre-paid GSM customers in partnership with Hungama Mobile. This would let the customers listen to music for particular amount of period upon subscription and will work even for basic phone users, since this doesn’t require any software. This would only be available through electronic voucher distribution (EVD). It will also enable customers to set their favorite song and as caller tune at additional charges.
