Obi Mobiles is a relatively new and unknown brand in India. Riding on a media wave created by one of its investors, ex-Apple CEO John Sculley, the newly founded company launched its first ambitious product for the Indian market, a mid range device called the Obi Octopus S520. Sporting a 5 inch HD display, an 8 MP camera and the MediaTek Octa core processor (hence the name), the device is priced at Rs. 11,990, which is less for what it offers. By undercutting the competition, Obi aims to stand out, but will that be enough for people to notice a new brand? Lets find out in our full review.

Celkon has launched Campus mini A350, the company’s latest budget smartphone running Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels), comes with a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera, has dual SIM support, 256MB RAM and 3G connectivity, similar to the Campus A35K that was launched back in June, but this is powered by a dual-core processor, packs a slightly larger 1500 mAh battery and has a different design. Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy Note 4, the company’s fourth smartphone in the Note series at the Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 event at IFA on September 3rd. Erafone, an online retailer in Indonesia has listed the Note 4 ahead of official announcement, along with the specifications. Even though most of the specifications of the Note 4 have been leaked already, the listing reveals 4GB RAM and SM-910S and SM-910C , Snapdragon 805 and Exynos 5433 variants that already appeared in benchmarks. It is based on ARM big.LITTLE technology and has Heterogeneous Multi-Processing that can run combination of up to eight cores at a time to provide optimum performance, similar to the earlier Exynos 5 Octa chips.
