Simmtronics Xpad Turbo (X-723), a 7-inch tablet with dual SIM support went on sale online back in December, now the company has officially launched the tablet. It has a 7-inch ( 1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel pixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has 3G data connectivity and voice calling through dual SIM card slots and packs a 2800 mAh battery. Nokia brings folders to Windows Phone with its Black Update for all Lumia WP8 devices starting today

One of the most requested features on Windows Phone(since 7), creating folders on the start screen, has been fulfilled by Nokia in its latest firmware update “Lumia Black”. The update, slated to be available for all Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices, was already available for the Lumia 1520 and the Lumia 1020(AT&T), but begins its official rollout with the brand new folders feature today. Nokia has been the clear leader in Windows Phone, so it bringing a highly requested feature is nothing new, as we have seen so many features being implemented by the company in the past. The new folders feature will just be one among the many that Nokia users will get with the latest Lumia Black update that will eventually roll out to all the Windows Phone 8 Lumia devices soon.

Purported iPhone 6 frame leaked

Its not been too long since the iPhone 5s was released but as the rumor mill goes, we’re already seeing the first hints towards what may be the next generation iPhone. Going by historical precedence, the next gen iPhone or the iPhone 6 as it might be called will be a major upgrade. Online reports suggest that Apple will finally take a leap towards a larger device keeping in mind current consumer trends.

Now, popular Chinese technology site C Technology is showing us a glimpse of what it says is a frame of the next gen iPhone. There’s not much to go on here other than an image of a frame from a pre production sample. The surprisingly slim frame lends credence to the other rumor that the next iPhone will shrink down in thickness quite substantially. It’s still very early to make any calls on the authenticity of this leak but it looks like the stars may align on a slimmer yet larger iPhone once it launches later this year.

Lenovo IdeaPad A10, the company’s first Android based dual-mode notebook in India. It has first introduced last year and packs a 10.1-inch (1366 x 768 pixels) 10-point multi-touch display. It has laptop and stand modes and can flip 300 degrees. It weighs about 1 kilograms, powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A9 processor and runs on customized Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. OPlus launches XonPad 7 tablet with 1.2 Ghz Quad Core processor, 7″ display for Rs. 9,990

OPlus has partnered with Snapdeal to launch a new 7 inch tablet called the XonPad7. The tablet is powered by a 1.2Ghz Quad Core Processor built on the 28nm process which should help increase battery longevity a bit. The specifications include 1GB of RAM as well as a 3G capabilities which means that you’ll be able to pop in a SIM card and surf the internet without having to rely on WiFI connectivity. The tablet is capable of voice calling.

You also the standard WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. The XonPad7 has a 5MP rear facing camera and a 2MP front facing shooter. Users get Android 4.2 onboard the tablet. There’s 16GB of storage that can be expanded thanks to the microSD card slot. The battery rated at 3,500 mAh should be good enough for over a day of usage. The display has a resolution of 1280 x 800 which is just about sufficient for a 7 inch panel. Being an IPS display, viewing angles are quite decent. OPlus has partnered with Snapdeal for online distribution. The tablet is priced at Rs. 9,990.

Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 Hands On

Samsung introduced the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, the company’s latest tablet with a huge 12.2-inch screen at CES earlier this week. Since this belongs to the Note category, it comes with a S Pen stylus that docks on the back of the tablet and has a Wacom Digitizer for pressure sensitive input. It has a 12.2-inch (2560×1600 pixels) WQXGA display, powered by a Octa-Core Exynos 5 or a quad-core Snapdragon 800 depending on the 3G and 4G LTE variants and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Samsung’s own Touch Wiz UI on top.
