Samsung has launched the Gear and Gear Neo smartwatches in India along with the Galaxy S5. Samsung unveiled the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and the Gear Fit at the MWC 2014 last month. The Gear 2 is the successor of the first Galaxy Gear, that was introduced at the IFA 2013. Unlike the first Android-based Galaxy Gear, this one runs on Tizen OS, optimized for wearable devices. It has the same 1.63 inch (320 x 320 pixels) Super AMOLED display that we had seen on the Gear. It has a 2-megapixel auto focus camera capable of recording 720p HD videos. Lenovo Vibe Z Multi Window demo
Ever since phablets launched, there has been a push for scaling and an increase in the information density on those screens, irrespective of resolution. There has been a push to adopt the, initially clunky, Multi Window system that allowed an user to have two different apps, or more recently, two different instances of the same app. all on the same screen. It made sense for some tasks such as using the calculator and having your expense notes on the same screen, or a voice recorder and a notes page for quick typing of notes on the same screen. It all makes sense if you specifically perform those tasks, and they work great. Other manufacturers have been giving it a go and Lenovo too has followed suit with its own implementation on its flagship smartphone, the Vibe Z. Here is a video demo of it –

Samsung Galaxy S5 to be priced between Rs. 51000 and Rs. 53000 in India
Samsung announced the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S5 at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona earlier this year and it missed out more features that were rumored than the ones it packed. there wasn’t a 2K display or a premium build quality which was among the many features it missed. Nevertheless, Samsung knows the market better than anyone and they have come up with the Galaxy S5 with a bigger display, better camera and battery.

Samsung Galaxy S5 packs a Octa-Core Exynos Processor in India
Samsung India Country Head Vineet Taneja just confirmed that the Galaxy S5 (SM-G900H) would be powered by an Octa-Core Exynos processor in India as expected, similar to the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3. It would be powered by a Octa-Core Exynos 5422 (A15 1.9 GHz + A7 1.3 GHz) processor with ARM Mali T628 MP6 GPU and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing and has XMM6360 for HSPA+ ( up to 42 Mbps) connectivity. Since it has Heterogeneous Multi-Processing, it can run combination of up to eight cores to provide optimum performance. Airtel has just launched its latest recharge option called as ‘Smart Pack’. Smart Pack offers the users a new and ueasier way to recharge their smartphones. the ‘Smart Pack’ is a paper recharge coupon on which there is no numbers which you get by scratching , but contains just a QR code . Micromax launched the Canvas Knight A350 as the successor to last year’s Canvas Turbo A250. HTC unveiled the Desire 816 at the MWC last month. Earlier this month Desire 516 with 5-inch qHD display and a quad-core processor surfaced online. Today, HTC Desire 616 with octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor has surfaced online in live images posted by a weibo user. Sony says no to Android Wear for now, will stick to its custom OS
Sony was one among the first of the electronics giant to jump into the smart watch category and it has so far launched a couple of smart watches. LG partners with Airtel and Qualcomm to launch LTE experience zone in Bangalore
LG Electronics has partnered with Airtel and Qualcomm to set up LTE experience zone in Bangalore for customers to experience 4G LTE. Airtel introduced 4G on mobile first on iPhone 5c and 5s for customers in Bangalore last month. LG launched the 4G LTE variant of the L2 G2 in India earlier this month starting at Rs. 46,000. Aircel launches Facebook for All to offer free Facebook access for 60 days
Aircel has partnered with Facebook India to offer free Facebook access to both old and new customers. This would let new Aircel customers enjoy free 50 MB per month data on Facebook for a period of 60 days without any extra packs. Existing customers would 50MB of free data for 30 days to access Facebook. Last year Airtel launched a similar offer for pre-paid customers and Idea Cellular offered Free Facebook Messenger access to their customers. Samsung Galaxy S5 might launch in India for Rs. 51500
Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy S5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India tomorrow. Now Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom reports that the phone would be priced at Rs. 51,500 in India and would go on pre-order starting March 28th for a pre-booking price of Rs. 1500. Samsung also plans to offer 15% Cash Back on Citibank Credit Cards with EMI of 6/12/18 months at applicable interest rates. Facebook acquires Oculus Rift, a Virtual Reality Gaming Headset company
Facebook is on a buying spree. Recently, it had acquired the messaging company Whatsapp for a record $19billion and now, it has acquired Oculus Rift, a virtual reality company. Oculus first demonstrated the prototype in June 2012 at E3 and then raised crowd funding for its Oculus Rift product.
