LG begins mass production of 6-inch flexible OLED smartphone display

LG Display, the display arm of LG Electronics has announced that they have started mass producing the world’s first flexible OLED display for smartphones. This comes after a report that LG is working on the G Flex smartphone with a curved OLED display. LG did not reveal the display resolution of the panel but it said that the display size would be 6 inches. It says that the this would be the world’s slimmest display among existing mobile device panels and would weigh just 7.2 grams. Krrish 3 Game now available as a timed exclusive for Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 devices

Krrish 3, a highly anticipated Bollywood movie this year, is following the same route as previous big budget Bollywood as well as Hollywood movies by releasing a game just before the movie release. The Krrish 3 game is now available as a free download, but as a timed exclusive on Microsoft Platforms – Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8. MapmyIndia launches Explore app for Windows phone, coming soon to Android

MapmyIndia, popular for its navigation and location-based services has launched the Explore app for Windows Phone devices that lets you find useful places of interest like ATMs, restaurants, petrol pumps, hospitals and more across India. It also lets you pin favorite hangouts, rate and review popular places around your location and follow other Explorers. Once you follow someone, you can see the activity feed of what others are doing on Explore. The app is powered by MapmyIndia maps. MapmyIndia has promised that the app would be available for Android devices soon. NEC Medias W Dual Screen Android Phone Unboxing

You might have seen us getting intrigued by the NEC Medias W Android Phone at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, but we have finally got it with us, in our hands, the wacky yet innovative dual screened Android Phone. The two 4.3″ qHD screens are definitely the unique selling point of the Medias W. It presents really interesting opportunities and even future-looking ideas for a better implementation. Not to say this is bad, but it is really intriguing for a v1.0. We had gotten hold of a retail unit of this unlocked phone that sells only in Japan with a carrier tie-up(NTT Docomo) for 100 Mbps LTE.The device has the model number N-05E.The box contents are bare, but take a look at the device in action in the video below –

Videocon Telecom plans to bid for 900 MHz specturm for Delhi in 2014 auction

Videocon Telecom, the telecommunication arm of the Videocon group has announced that they have planned to participate in the upcoming spectrum Auction and bid for the 900 MHz license for Delhi. The company rolled their services in 3 out of 6 circles they acquired in November 2012 auction, after it lost its license in 21 circles after high court order. The company has improved its network presence in the four operating circles including Punjab and  plans to roll out the services in remaining 3 circles within the next 12 months. Google Nexus 5 complete specifications revealed in leaked service manual

Specifications of the Google Nexus 5 were detailed in the leaked log file recently. Now the official sketch, images and the entire specifications have been revealed in a leaked internal service manual. The phone has a model number LG-D821 and would sport a 4.95-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD IPS display, powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and run on Android 4.4 (Kit Kat). It is expected to come with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Micromax launched the Canvas 4 A210 and the Canvas Doodle 2 A240 recently with a 720p display. Now the twitter user MMXNewscaster has posted the boot animation screenshot that reveals that the name of the phone would be Canvas Turbo and the model number is A250. DroidExtra has got hold of the ROM of the device which reveals that the phone would feature a full HD display at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, but the display size is unknown. HTC Desire 500 now available in India for Rs. 20499

HTC Desire 500 appeared on Snapdeal last month and it appeared on Flipkart last week, now the phone is available from online retailers Saholic and Infibeam in India.  The Desire 500 was announced back in July and packs a 4.3-inch  (480 × 800 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) with Sense 5.  It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and BSI sensor and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor. Nokia Lumia 1020 Leather Case Hands On

Amongst the many accessories that Nokia launched along with the Lumia 1020, like the Wireless charging shell and the Camera Grip we already went hands on with, there was another limited edition accessory that made its way into the list, albeit very silently for any one to notice. And that accessory, as revealed by our friends at the PureViewClub is the Limited Edition Leather Case for the 41 Megapixel Lumia. We were in Hong Kong recently, and were really lucky to get our hands on it. So, here’s a photo walkthrough of the case, with our hands on impressions.

BlackBerry in talks with Cisco, Google, Intel amongst others, faces class action suit

BlackBerry might have announced its proposed deal with Fairfax Financial but till the time the final papers are signed, the company is free to explore other options and it is doing just that. Reuters claims that BlackBerry is having discussions with Google, Intel, LG, Samsung and even the likes of Cisco and SAP who are interested in the company’s patent portfolio and servers. If rumors are to be believed, none of the companies are very interested in BlackBerry’s devices business. The deal is expected to be closed on November 4th with BlackBerry being sold to a consortium led by Fairfax Financial for $4.7 billion meanwhile the Canadian company is fishing for better offers.
