Facebook has announced that more than 500 million users are using its standalone Messenger each month. The social network removed the Messenger from main Facebook app in July and started urging users to download the Facebook Messenger app.

Gionee has released the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for its Elife E3 smartphone in India. Along with the Android 4.4′s features such as wireless printing, support for emojis and more, this update brings a new homescreen layout, Touchpal, Kingsoft Office and more, similar to other smartphones.
