Ringing Bells, a homegrown handset maker is all set to launch the cheapest smartphone in India which is priced under Rs 500. Dubbed as Freedom 251, the company will release the phone in the country tomorrow, February 17.
LG has introduced Stylus 2, successor of last year’s G4 Stylus, ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 in Barcelona next week. It has a 5.7-inch HD in-cell touch display, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Idea today launched its 4G LTE services in Chennai, as it had promised back in December, when it launched 4G services in across 75 Towns in Southern India, including Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Tiruppur and Kancheepuram. Idea 4G is now available in 29 towns of Tamil Nadu and Chennai. It is available in 20 districts, including major towns of Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Salem, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Erode & Tirupur, covering 30% of the total population of the circle. LG usually introduces official case for their upcoming flagships every year, this time Xiaomi has teased (Via) a clear protective case for its upcoming flagship Mi 5 smartphone. Xiaomi says that the case will be just 0.45mm thick. It also reveals that the camera will be present on the left corner, the USB Type-C port will be present on the bottom with dual speakers. Samsung has announced that it has started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for its smartphones, starting from Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge smartphones. It released Android 6.0 beta update for the S6 and S6 edge users in the UK and the Korean version got the update last month. Qualcomm will supply LTE-Advanced carrier aggregation support technology to smartphone makers such as Micromax and Samsung, according to a latest report from the ET. Carrier aggregation used in LTE-Advanced increases the bandwidth, thereby increasing the bitrate. Back in 2014, Qualcomm partnered with LG and Airtel to offer LTE Advanced with carrier aggregation on LG G2 that is powered by Snapdragon 800 processor.
