LG V10 sales surpass 4,50,000 units in the US in 45 days

LG today announced that the sales of its V10 smartphone has crossed 4,50,000 units in the US in just 45 days after the launch. It was launched in the US at the end of October and went on sale across major US carriers in early November. In the US it sold at the rate of 10,000 units per day on average, said the company.  Commenting on the sales, it said that it was popular among the younger generation, with 37% of its US consumers aged between 25 and 34.

MediaTek Helio X20 scores high multi-core performance on GeekBench

Samsung just announced the Galaxy A9, the company’s latest top-end smartphone in the ‘Galaxy A’ series at an event in China. It packs a 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and 2.74mm narrow frame, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 (Previously 620) processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Idea launches 4G LTE services in 75 towns in South India

Idea Cellular, today launched its 4G LTE services across five states in South India – Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. In the first phase it will be available across 75 Towns in Southern India, which includes Kochi, Hosur, Kadapa, Malapuram, Madurai, Mysore, Rajahmundry, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Tiruppur, Vijayawada and Vishakhapatnam, while Belgaum, Calicut, Cuddalore, Chitradurga, Guntur, Kakinada, Kancheepuram and Trichur will follow by 31st December 2015, said Idea. HTC One A9 Benchmarks

HTC launched the One A9 smartphone in India earlier this month for Rs. 29990. Here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. Even though CPU-Z shows it as Snapdragon 615, the One A9 is actually powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 64-bit processor that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.52 GHz per core and other four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.21 GHz per core, faster than the Snapdragon 615. It has Adreno 405 GPU. It has a 3GB of RAM, 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with HTC Sense UI. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.
