Samsung Gear S2 Classic 18K Rose Gold and Platinum editions launched in India for Rs. 34900

Samsung launched the the Gear S2 and Gear S2 classic in India earlier this year. Today the company has launched two new premium variants of the Gear S2 Classic, one encased in 18K Rose Gold and another in Platinum and also the Gear S2 smartwatch in White color in the country. Foxconn to reportedly ink Sharp takeover deal this week

Xiaomi Mi 5 launching in India on March 31

At the Redmi Note 3 launch event Hugo Barra, Vice President of Xiaomi Global said that the flagship Mi 5 smartphone will launch in India in April. Now Xiaomi has started sending press invites for the event. The Mi 5 was announced at an event in China and at the MWC 2016 last month. YU YU5200 with 5.2-inch 1080p display, 3GB RAM, 4G LTE coming soon, reveals import listing

YU imported YU YU6000, it’s 6-inch phablet recently, now it has imported YU5200, another mid-range 4G smartphone. Even though Zauba listing only reveals 5.2-inch screen, 4G and dual SIM support. GFXBench reveals that it will have a 5.2-inch screen, will be powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC, similar to the Yureka Plus, but this will have 3GB of RAM. LeEco Le Max Review

Smartphones have gotten a lot bigger since the introduction of touchscreen phones years ago. The original Apple iPhone with a 3.5″ screen was considered to be huge at the time and so was the Dell Streak which had a 5 inch display. However, since then, the ideal smartphone display size has grown larger and larger and most flagship smartphones have screens northwards of 5 inches. Although a few brands did experience with 6 inch and above in terms of display size, not many of them did well and few pushed it as much as Letv are pushing their 6.33 inch Le Max smartphone. Specs wise, the phone is a beast and the smaller bezels mean that you have a larger than 6 inch display on a smartphone without the phone being too difficult to manage. But will it be able to sway customers out of buying sub 6 inch phablets and if so what can it offer that they can’t? Let’s find out.

OnePlus 3 (A3000), the third flagship from OnePlus has surfaced on AnTuTu. It reveals a 1080p display, Snapdragon 820 and 16MP camera, similar to the latest Xiaomi Mi5. It will come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, but it is not clear it will come with a microSD card slot that was absent in the OnePlus 2.
