NVIDIA has announced GeForce GTX 1080, the company’s top-end gaming graphics card that claims to deliver 2x the performance and 3x the efficiency of TITAN X. It is based on the company’s new Pascal architecture and is built on TSMC’s 16nm FinFET process.  It has support for DirectX 12, Vulkan graphics APIs and is designed to drive display devices beyond 5K including HDR as well as delivering the performance required for immersive VR. Reference to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active successor of last year’s Galaxy S6 Active surfaced in official Samsung Level app few weeks back. Now live images of the smartphone have surfaced in Vietnam. According to the images, it will have a camouflage back with IP68 certified casing and will likely be water resistant, similar to the predecessor. Motorola recently scheduled an event in India on May 17th, where it is expected to unveil the new Moto G (4th Gen) smartphone and the Moto G / G4 Plus. Even though some specifications of the smartphones were leaked already, new leak reveals that both the phones will have laser auto-focus and will be powered by Snapdragon 430 Octa-Core SoC.

HoloFlex is the world’s first flexible glasses-free 3D smartphone

We had already seen glasses-free 3D displays in smartphone few years back, which did not do well. HoloFlex is the first flexible holographic smartphone that has been developed by researchers at Queen’s University’s Human Media Lab that introduced the ReFlex earlier this year as the world’s first flexible smartphone with bend input and active haptic feedback. This capable of rendering 3D images with motion parallax and stereoscopy without head tracking or glasses.
