Indian Railways launches new IRCTC Rail Connect app for Android

Indian Railways has launched new IRCTC Rail Connect app that will replace the previous IRCTC app that was launched back in 2014. Samsung could introduce foldable smartphone/tablet hybrid in Q3 2017

Earlier this week two foldable smartphones – Galaxy X1, Galaxy X1 Plus with model numbers -SM-X9000 and SM-X9050 surfaced in China. Now a new report from South Korea says that the Samsung is expected to release more than 100,000 units of these devices in Q3 2017.

Xiaomi Mi 6 tipped to come with dual curved display, 4000mAh battery

Xiaomi is reportedly working on Mi 6, successor of the Mi 5. A new leak has revealed that the Mi 6 will come in two variants – one with dual curved display and other with a flat screen display. The Xiaomi Mi 6 could have 4G of RAM and a flat screen display, while the Mi 6 Pro could have 6GB of RAM and a curved display. It looks like Xiaomi is taking cue from Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

You can also charge other phones using the phone and it also features one-key power saver, which puts the phone in ultimate power saver mode. It promises up to 32 days of standby and up to 78.69 hours of talk time on 4G.

Android Nougat now on 0.7% of Android devices, Froyo finally bids adieu

Google is out with its monthly Android distribution chart which is also the first one of 2017. Android Nougat 7.0 is still crawling at 0.5%, up just 1% from last month. However, Android Nougat 7.1 has made its debut in the chart at 0.2%. This means the Google’s latest Android OS is currently available only on 0.7% of all Android devices. WhatsApp for Android beta gets GIF search, media sharing limit raised to 30

WhatsApp has finally added GIF search support for Android beta. The Facebook owned messaging service first added an option to send videos as GIF in August following which it allowed sending of GIFs that are saved on your device. Now, you can will be able to search different types of GIFs right within the app itself. WhatsApp for iOS already has this feature since November last year.
