At the second annual Snapdragon Technology Summit, Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform as the successor to Snapdragon 835 that most flagship smartphones this year. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun at the event said that Qualcomm has always been part of Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone launches right from the Mi 1 that was introduced back in 2011 and the next flagship Xiaomi smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform. He said that 238 million Xiaomi smartphones are powered by Qualcomm processors.

Qualcomm and Microsoft launch Windows 10 Snapdragon Always Connected PCs with 4G LTE

Microsoft and Qualcomm last year announced that Windows 10 will be coming to next-generation of Snapdragon Mobile processors. At the Computex 2017  earlier this year Qualcomm announced that ASUS, HP and Lenovo will be the first OEMs to build PCs powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile PC Platform with X16 LTE modem. Today at its second annual Snapdragon Technology Summit, Qualcomm in partnership with Microsoft introduced the Always Connected PCs with 4G LTE which would bring ARM support to Windows 10, but with x86 emulation, allowing all existing applications to work as well.

Huawei’s Honor brand along with the Honor 7X  also introduced the Honor View 10 smartphone, which is the global version of the Honor V10 that was introduced in China last week. It has similar specifications including a 5.99-inch 18:9 FullView display with ultra narrow bezels, Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 970 10nm SoC with i7 co-processor, dedicated neural network processing unit and Android 8.0 (Oreo) with Emotion UI 8.0 on top.
