Apple reports $45.4 billion revenue in FY Q3 2017, iPhone sales cross 1.2 billion since launch

Apple has reported quarterly revenue of $45.4 billion with a net profit of $8.7 billion in their earnings for the financial year Q3 2017 that ended July 1, 2017. Revenues were up 7% year-over-year. Apple reported quarterly earnings per diluted share of $1.67 compared to diluted share of $1.42 in the year-ago quarter. During earnings call Tim Cook said that iPhone sales were impressive, with strong demand at the high end of its lineup. ACT Fibernet revises plans in Chennai, Rs. 999 plan now comes with 200GB FUP

After Delhi, ACT Fibernet has upgraded its plans for Chennai, for the second time this year, after it was upgraded in April. Speed of the plans remain the same, but the monthly data limit of both download and upload is now combined and is not counted separately. For example, the Rs. 1999 with 150Mbps speed and 350GB download and 350GB upload limit now comes with combined limit of 700GB. Normally ACT doesn’t mention the data uploaded separately on the site or the app, now it should be easy to track. Last week Lenovo confirmed that it will launch its K8 Note smartphone in India on August 9th, skipping the K7 Note. Today Amazon India has announced that it will be available exclusively with them while teasing the performance and camera of phone. It has a 4.5-inch (1620 x 1080 pixels) display with 3:2 aspect ratio and has a 4-row QWERTY physical backlit keyboard with keys that respond to touch gestures, support for flick typing, up to 52 customizable shortcuts and the fingerprint sensor is built into the spacebar.

Samsung is all set to unveil its flagship Galaxy Note8 smartphone at Galaxy Unpacked event on August 23. We had seen several render sketches of the phone, now we have the first press render of the phone, thanks to @evleaks. It shows a similar design as the Galaxy S8 with Infinity display with minimal bezels. All the important sensors including the iris scanner is seen on the top.
