Samsung at the IFA 2017 announced Gear Fit2 Pro, successor of last year’s Gear Fit 2 with a new watch-style clasp. It has a 1.5-inch Curved Super AMOLED screen, has built-in GPS and runs Tizen OS, similar to the predecessor. It is 5 ATM certified for water resistance in up to 50-meters of water and has Speedo’s swimming training app Speedo On that lets you track key swim metrics including lap count, lap time, stroke type and more. Microsoft and Amazon has partnered to integrate Alexa and Cortana digital assistants. Available later this year, this collaboration will allow you to access Alexa via Cortana on Windows 10 PCs, followed by Android and iOS in the future. Acer at the IFA 2017 introduced two new 360-degree cameras powered by Snapdragon 625 and have 4G LTE support. The Acer Holo360 has a 3-inch touchscreen and lets you livestream 360-degree video, thanks to dual 16-megapixel lenses with Sony IMX298 sensor. It runs on Android 7.1 and lets you share 360-degree photos and videos directly to social networks and also preview them on the device.
Acer has announced the Chromebook 15 that has received an update in terms of specifications and build quality. The new Chromebook now features an aluminium top cover and palm rest.
Lenovo India recently started teasing the K8 Plus smartphone, few weeks after the launch of the K8 Note smartphone in the country. After several teasers, Xiaomi just announced that it will unveil Mi MIX 2, its second-generation flagship bezel-less smartphone at an event in China on September 11th. Xiaomi is calling it 2.0 bezel-less display, so it is expected to have minimal bezels. The company already confirmed that it will be designed by French designer Philippe Starck, who designed the Mi MIX. Micromax has launched Canvas Plex Tab that has been co-created by teaming up with digital platform Eros Now. As a result of this collaboration, the Canvas Plex Tab will come pre-loaded with Eros Now’s library of Bollywood and regional language films, music videos, TV shows, originals and more. It will come bundled with a one-year subscription to Eros Now digital service.
