Motorola Mobility India Website Shut Down , bye bye Moto

Seems hard to believe but Motorola does not have a dedicated website anymore for India.

Google had acquired Motorola Mobility in a multi-billion dollar deal last year and very recently the company had said that it was indeed shutting down its India operations due to the global restructuring under the new owner . The Motorola India website along with several other country sites have been shutdown and a message pops up when you log on to the site. Google Nexus 4 Pictures

LG and Google unveiled the Nexus 4,new Smartphone in the Nexus family at the end of October. It has a 4.7-inch (1280 × 768 pixels) display with 320 ppi and corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection, 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Nexus 4 is priced at $299 for the 8GB version and the 16GB version comes at a price tag of $349. It is expected to go on sale from November 13 in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Spain and Australia. Samsung Galaxy Camera Pre-Booking starts in India

Samsung India has started accepting pre-bookings for its upcoming Galaxy Camera on the company’s eStore. This interesting device is basically a point and shoot camera running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and packs 3G and WiFi connectivity. It has a massive 4.8 inch display  and 21x zoom.One cannot make calls from this device though. Samsung had previously told FoneArena that the Galaxy Camera would be launched during Diwali and looks like this Android based Camera will be going on sale soon.

Asus Padfone 2 Unboxing

The Asus Padfone was an innovative gadget but it was a bit bulky and used only a dual core processor.It launched at Computex earlier this year and we  spotted it at MWC and finally it was launched in India last month. Now we have at FoneArena one of the most innovative gadgets of 2012 the Asus Padfone 2. The Padfone2 is powered by the all new Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 quad-core CPU which is one of the fastest chipsets in the mobile market currently. Watch the unboxing video below.

HTC One X+ Benchmarks

HTC launched the One X+ in India today. We got hands-on time with the device and we ran some benchmarks to test the performance of the device. The HTC One X+ is the upgraded version of the One X that we reviewed earlier this year. The HTC One X+ topped some benchmarks including the Quadrant Sunspider when compared to the other quad-core Android Smartphones such as One X, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S3, Optimus 4X HD, Optimus G and Optimus Vu. Apple iPad mini Hands on Photo Gallery

Apple unveiled the iPad mini with a 7.9-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) display at 163 ppi and a dual-core A5 processor  last month. I got some hands-on time with the WiFi version of the iPad mini. It went on pre-order on October 26th in over 30 countries and the WiFi version goes on sale in those countries today (November 2nd) and the WiFi + Cellular version would be available by mid-November. The iPad mini with WiFi is priced at $329, $429 and $529 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions respectively, in the U.S., while the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB WiFi + Cellular versions would cost $459, $559 and $659 respectively. HTC Desire SV Hands on Photo Gallery

HTC announced the Desire SV Dual-SIM Android phone exclusively for markets like India at an event in Singapore. We got a hands-on with the device at the launch event. The HTC Desire SV has a 4.3 inch (480 x 800) pixels capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Scott Forstall leaving Apple next year, Jony Ive to lead Human Interface

In a huge management rejig today , Apple announced a lot of changes to the company leadership. Long time Apple employee Scott Forstall who is SVP of iOS  software is leaving Apple after 15 years next year and will be an advisor to CEO Tim Cook in the interim period. John Browett SVP of Retail is also leaving the company after barely 6 months.

Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 launching in India in November

Nokia just announced today that it has begun shipping its first Windows Phone 8 devices in select markets to operators and retail outlets and it will go on sale in UK and France later this week.Russia and Germany would be getting the Lumia 920 and 820 after that.  Several other countries including India will see the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 being launched sometime in November ( no exact date or price yet). The Lumia 920 packs an awesome camera with optical image stabilization and a pure motion hd+ display apart and runs on Windows Phone 8. LG and Google announce the Nexus 4

Google had canceled the New York Android event due to Hurricane Sandy but the hurricane could not stop them from officially announcing the devices.Google and LG have finally officially unveiled the next Nexus phone which is from LG this time round -Nexus 4. The handset has been leaked multiple times and was reportedly lost in in a bar. The Nexus 4 looks  very similar to the previous Nexus devices from the front but very different in the back.The Nexus 4 was jointly designed by LG and Google.
