Samsung launched Gear S (SM-R750), the company’s first smartwatch based on Tizen Wearable platform in India priced at Rs. 27,900. It has SIM support and lets you make or receive calls directly without connecting it to a smartphone. You can even connect it to a smartphone to receive notifications from it. In case you are looking forward to buying the latest Nexus tablet from Google in India, we have some good news to share. We just spotted the Google Nexus 9 as coming soon on the India Play Store and the price for the 16GB Wi-Fi only version is listed as Rs.28900 which is a good deal considering the US pricing is $399 but taxes and shipping will bring the price to roughly about Rs.27000 and duties could end up making it even costlier. It seems like the 32GB Wi-Fi only version will not be coming to India. The Google Nexus 9 is made my HTC and packs a 8.9 inch display and is powered by a Nvidia Tegra K1 chip and runs on the latest version of Android 5.0 Lollipop.

HTC unleashed the RE Camera at the ‘Double Exposure’ event in the US earlier this week. The camera which is an action camera like the GoPro is small and portable. At first glance the camera looks like a small PVC pipe or an inhaler. Encompassed in plastic body, the camera has a 16 megapixel sensor, with a 146 degree wide-angle lens, capable of recording full HD video and 120 fps slow motion video at 720p. We have just heard from Apple that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Pre-orders will start on October 7th in India and the phones will hit stores such as Apple Authorized Resellers on October 17th which confirms our previous exclusive story about the new iPhones going on sale on October 17th in India . Both the 6 and 6 Plus are going to be available but are expected to sell out soon considering the craze surrounding iPhones every time a new iPhone enters the market and Apple is launching it this year during the Diwali shopping season which could help them sell more units than usually. FoneArena has got access to what seems like customer invites to buy the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on launch day in India which is slated for October 17th 2014 which is about 2 weeks away. Going by the information on the invite the iPhone 6 and its bigger brother 6 Plus will go on sale on 16th night in India. Apple did roll out the iPhone 5s and 5c in India in a similar fashion with customer launch events at major cities including Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai . No information on the pricing at this point but we expect it to be similar to the Europe / UK pricing. Stocks are expected to be extremely limited considering the global demand for the new iPhones with wait times upto 4 weeks in many other launch countries.

We are in London for the launch of the most anticipated BlackBerry smartphone in recent times, the BlackBerry Passport ! QWERTY phones are becoming a rare breed now due to the rise of large screen smartphones but BlackBerry is expected to revive the QWERTY keyboard with the Passport. While most details about the Passport are out there, the device will be unveiled officially today at parallel events in Toronto, London and Dubai and FoneArena is live from the London event!
