Nokia N8 USB OTG Demo with PenDrive

The Nokia N8 has a USB OTG (On-The-Go)  which means that you can connect pendrives or small hardrives via the microUSB-USB cable to the Phone. Here is a video in which a Pen Drive is connected to the phone and also another phone a Nokia C5 and both show up as Mass Storage within the FileManager . Pretty Cool eh ?

MeeGo v1.0 for Netbooks is out , coming to handhelds soon

Finally Meego has released the version 1.0 of the software platform for Netbooks . And they have hinted at June release for Handhelds. MeeGo 1.1 handset UI development will start in June . The MeeGo Netbook User experience release will be followed by a early developer release for handhelds and tablets. The MeeGo image is available for download from the MeeGo site and it would run on Intel Atom based Netbooks.MeeGo v1.1 will be released in October and it will include support for touch-based devices such as Handsets, Tablets, and In-Vehicle Infotainment systems. So it should be end of the year by the time we see MeeGo powered phones

And this is a developer release , so if you are faint hearted , do stay away !

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro which is the QWERTY version of the Vivaz is now shipping in select markets worldwide. We don’t have info if India is included in that list but we can assume its going to be available in India soon as few weeks ago we saw Kareena Kapoor launching all the Xperia and Vivaz handsets in India.
