YI Horizon VR180 Camera with 5.7K stereoscopic 3D video and photo capture, 4K live streaming announced

Along with the Lenovo Mirage camera, Google in partnership with YI Technology introduced YI Horizon VR180 Camera at the CES 2018. It leverages Google’s new VR180 format so that the stereoscopic 3-D camera captures high-resolution, immersive 3D video in 5.7K resolution at 30 frames per second (fps). It also features instant in-device stitching and supports live streaming at 4k resolution. Vivo shows off world’s first In-Display Optical Fingerprint Scanning Smartphone at CES 2018

Vivo announced its Under Display Fingerprint Scanning Solution called Vivo Under Display based on an ultrasonic sensor at the MWC 2017 Shanghai back in June. Today at the CES 2018 it showed off world’s first ready-to-produce in-display fingerprint scanning smartphone that uses an optical fingerprint sensor from Synaptics. Qualcomm introduces QCC5100 Bluetooth Audio SoC series with Hybrid ANC, voice assistant support

Qualcomm at the CES 2018 introduced Low Power Bluetooth SoC QCC5100 series with support for third-party Voice Assistant Services, Qualcomm TrueWireless Stereo, Qualcomm aptX HD audio and Integrated Hybrid ANC for wireless earbuds, hearables and headsets. Qualcomm also said that it reduces power consumption by up to 65% for both voice calls and music streaming, compared to previous single-chip Bluetooth audio solutions. Reliance Jio revises two more packs, now offers 5GB data per day pack

Last week Reliance Jio revised several packs by offering Rs. 50 discount in some packs with monthly packs starting at just Rs. 149 and also revised data in some packs offering 1.5GB data per day at the same cost. These packs are available starting today. In addition to these the company has also revised its Rs. 509 and Rs. 799 packs. SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 world’s smallest 256GB Flash Drive announced, world’s smallest 1TB USB Type-C flash drive showcased

Western Digital at the Consumer Electronics Show 2018 (CES 2018) introduced the world’s smallest 256GB SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive, which also comes in other capacities. It introduced world’s smallest 128GB USB 3.0 Ultra Fit Flash Drive back in 2015. It also showcased the prototype of world’s smallest 1TB  USB Type-C flash drive.

Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime with 5.5-inch 1080p display, 4GB RAM launching in India this week

Samsung started teasing the launch of new ‘On Series’ smartphone in India last month, exclusively on Amazon India. Now Amazon has revealed that the phone as Galaxy On7 Prime and IANS report says that the phone will be launched this week. Apple releases iOS 11.2.2, macOS 10.13.2 supplemental update with security fixes for Spectre vulnerability

Apple released major iOS 11.2 update last month with Apple Pay Cash, faster wireless charging and more, later it released  OS 11.2.1, another minor update, now it has released iOS 11.2.2 update to patch several significant security problems. It has also released macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 supplemental update, after the initial macOS 10.13.2 last month. Sony at the CES 2018 introduced three new wireless headsets –  WF-SP700N truly wireless earbuds, WI-SP600N and WI-SP500 in-ear headphones. Both the WF-SP700N and WI-SP600N come with with support for noise-canceling technology blocks out distractions to keep you focused, while Ambient Sound Mode lets you enjoy your music and still hear your surroundings. All these are splash-proof with IPX4 ratings. Sony also introduced MDR-1AM2 wired headphones.

Xiaomi launched the Mi Router 3C, a budget router in India back in May last year for Rs. 1199 and the Mi Wi-Fi Repeater 2 was launched in June for Rs. 999 . During festive sales it offered discount on the router and the repeater, now it has announced a permanent Rs.200 temporary price cut for both. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Android Oreo Global Beta testing to start soon

Xiaomi announced Mi Mix 2 in India back in Oct running MIUI 8 on top of Nougat, device received the MIUI 9 Stable update in November itself but Xiaomi did not release any official statement regarding Android Oreo update for the device. The company recently rolled out Android Oreo to Mi A1 which was launched in partnership with Google under Android One program. A fortnight ago company started recruiting Beta testers for Mi 6, and it started rolling out Oreo based MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM to Beta testers last week. Android Pay and Google Wallet payment platforms merge into Google Pay

Google just announced that it is combining Android Pay and Google Wallet, into a single brand – Google Pay, making it an unified payment solution. Google Wallet peer-to-peer payments service was introduced back in 2011, which was launched in India as Tez last year. Airtel launches VoLTE services in Coimbatore

After Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra & Goa, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Karnataka and Chennai, Airtel has launched its 4G VoLTE services in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. This lets Airtel customers enjoy HD quality voice calls along with faster call set up time compared to normal voice calls on their VoLTE-compatible 4G handsets. Centric today launched L3, the company’s latest budget smartphone in India.
