Google has updated its Play Games app to version 5.14 that brings several new features including dark theme that can be enabled from the settings, app shortucuts in the launcher to quickly launch most recently played and installed games and an option to sort your achievements by rarity. Huawei Honor brand is all set to introduce Honor 8A, the company’s new budget smartphone as the phone has been certified by TENAA with model numbers JAT-TL00 and JAT-AL00. This doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor like the predecessor, but this reveals a waterdrop notch display with minimal bezels, two-tone design, and Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box.

Realme launched its Realme U1 smartphone in India last month starting at Rs. 11,999. It went on sale exclusively on Amazon.in starting December 5th. Today, the company has announced that the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage version will go on open sale starting from next Monday, December 17th. The next sale for 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version is scheduled for December 19th at 12 noon.

Activision and Tencent Games have teamed up to release Call of Duty: Legends of War, its new first-person shooter for Android. The game has been soft launched in Australia in alpha. It combines the best maps, characters, weapons and gear from the Call of Duty universe and brings them together for the first time, says the company. It has Multiplayer and Zombies modes currently.

Mobiistar has launched C1, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘C series’ in India. It has a 5.34-inch FWVGA+ display, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor with 2GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo), has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front camera, both with LED flash. It doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor, but comes with face unlock.
Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6A, successor of last year’s Redmi 5A in India back in September starting at Rs. 5999. However, at the launch the company said that the pricing is complimentary and it will increase in a couple of months. It also increased the price of 16GB version by Rs. 600 and Rs. 500 for the 32GB version last month. Now the company has cut the price of the phone back at launch prices of Rs. 5999 and Rs. 6999. MediaTek has introduced Helio P90, the company’s latest top-end SoC in the P-series, as it had promised. It is based on 12nm TSMC FinFET technology, same as the P60 and P70, but this comes with APU 2.0 with fusion AI to most complex AI apps and tasks while running multiple AI functions at the same time. It generates 1127GMACs for 4.6 times more performance than MediaTek Helio P60 & P70 for performing tasks with a breeze while being extremely power efficieny.
OnePlus just launched the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition in India, as it had promised. It was introduced at an event in UK yesterday, packs 10GB of RAM and 30 watt Warp Charge 30, OnePlus’ new charging standard that promises 50% charge in just 20 minutes of charge for a day’s use. That company has used new Integrated Circuits in both the charger and the phone, as well as finely tuned power management software without generating excessive heat.
Supercell, creators of popular Clash of Clans and Clash Royale games announced Brawl Stars, a new 3v3 multiplayer shooter game back in June last year, it soft launched the game in select countries back in June this year.
