Update: November 1, 2019 — Xiaomi has confirmed that the phone will feature 4-axis OIS for both 108MP main camera and the Telephoto lens for stable shooting. It also confirmed 32MP front camera with wide video recording with 50mm focal length, cinematic background blur, and 12 movie filters.

Samsung has reported its earnings for Q3 2019 that ended September 30, 2019, in which the company has made operating profit of 7.78 trillion won, down 55.7% YoY. This due to continued weakness in the memory chip market, even with stronger smartphone sales and improved utilization in mobile OLED screens, said Samsung. It reported revenue of 62 trillion won, down 5.2% YoY from 65.46 trillion won last year. Apple has reported quarterly revenue of $64 billion, up 1.74% over last year with a net profit of $13.7 billion, down 2.83% YoY and earnings per diluted share of $3.03, up 4.1% for the financial year Q4 2019 that ended September 28, 2019. During earnings call Tim Cook said that it was Apple’s highest revenue in a September quarter ever, and the company set new Q4 revenue records in the Americas and rest of Asia-Pacific and saw further improvement in revenue trends in Greater China. LG Electronics has reported revenues of 15.7 trillion won (US$ 13.15 billion) for the third quarter that ended September 30, 2019, which is up 1.8% compared to the same quarter last year. It posted profits of 781.4 billion won (US$ 654.4 million), up 19.79% YoY, while net profit was down 30.45% YoY to 345.7 billion won. Decrease in profits is primarily due to losses from mobile communications in the quarter, even home appliance, home entertainment and business solutions business units posted strong results. At the Samsung Developer Conference 2019 (SDC19) the company teased a new clam shell folding-screen form factor that it’s working on. These come in 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch versions with a QLED Display, 600-nit brightness and are powered by 10th Gen Intel Core Processors with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB SSD. Xiaomi today opened crowd funding for its new Mi Smart Bedside Lamp 2 in India. It is a 12W lamp with 400 Lumens output, and you can control the lamp through the app, and choose from 16 million colors. It works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant as well as Apple HomeKit. Update: Xiaomi has confirmed that in addition to the 108MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture, the phone will feature a 12MP 1/2.6-inch 2PD sensor with 1.4um for 2x zoom and portrait with 50mm focal length. This is the same sensor used in the Samsung Galaxy S9, says the company. There is also 20MP 117° ultra-wide angle camera and a super macro lens for 1.5cm macro shots. It already confirmed 5x optical zoom, now it has confirmed 10x hybrid zoom and 50x digital zoom with a telephoto lens.

Apple released iOS 13 last month and the iOS 13.1.3 update was released a couple of weeks back.
